Absolute perfection! What a gem of a property with a great host to match. Everything you could possibly want and more. Mark had restored his home to a very high standard. Most comfortable beds ever with exceptional quality bed linen. Never experienced such high quality in a Vrbo property. Didn’t want to leave!! Can’t wait to return. Will definitely recommend to our family and friends.

This property was well-appointed and very welcoming. It has a fully stocked kitchen and coffee bar, comfortable living spaces, and high quality bedding. There is a beautiful private garden area with outdoor dining space and a grill. The owner is a delight to visit with! This will be our go-to lodging for Boston from now on.

This is one of the best rentals we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many around the country. Mark lives on site and is extremely friendly and made great suggestions for local and Boston area attractions. He has put a lot of work into the house and the care he has for it shows in the craftsmanship and the cleanliness of the property. We left for Bar Harbor for a couple of days and came back to the Boston are for a few more days after and stayed in a different rental and man do we wish we would’ve stayed in Mark’s place again instead! Great home in a great neighborhood. Any time we come back to Boston this will be the only place we stay at.

Love this property! We have stayed here a few times for visits to Tufts. Mark is always the gracious host, always responsive and accomodating. The beds are super comfy, the kitchen is well equipped and the place is immaculate! We will be back!!

This place was beyond pleasant!!! Okay so we had been looking for a stay that would be close enough to easily Uber into Boston for a concert and some tourist stuff. Not only is the location EXTREMELY convenient to downtown Boston, it is super close to Wegman’s, Whole Foods, SO MANY places to eat at and order from. We had a drive way to park in! Bonus! Walking into the home was like entering a classy, yet comfortable living space that we didn’t even know we needed! We just walked through and admired the original charm and detail of each room- built-in shelves, hand carved molding, creative spaces, black and white tiled bathroom, etc… Some fun surprises included FANTASTIC water pressure in the shower, a back porch with a garden view and a couch to lounge on, SUPER comfortable beds and bedding, coffee bar, even the refrigerator was stocked with some niceties to start with! Mark, our gracious host, was super responsive but since he’s such a VRBO pro, we had no problems and no questions! Check in/out instructions were easy and the apartment basically spoke for itself, gave us all we needed for a super chill stay. We WILL be back! Thanks Mark!

Our family has stayed at a lot of properties over the years, but never has there been one so utterly charming, so perfectly appointed, and that immediately felt like home. This one wins the prize, hands down. Mark has thought of literally everything and nothing is left to question. Add in the little touches like good coffee, comfy beds, high quality bedding, HUGE fluffy towels, etc...and you won't want to leave! We sure didn't. Thank you, Mark! You are an amazing host and we will definitely be back.

Our stay was wonderful, definitely a 5 star review. The beds with hotel style linens, the amazing kitchen with all the modern conveniences, the balcony off the kitchen was lovely, I could go on and on. One thing that made the stay special for me was the coffee and half and half available for our morning coffee. The owner, Mark, was just a phone call away if we needed anything which I really appreciated. Simply a great place to stay and would stay there again!

We had a great stay! Love the historic home and quiet neighborhood. Had a great meal at Faces restaurant close by. Spent a day exploring Boston and a day in Salem. We also drove to Fort Foster in Kittery, Maine. Beautiful area! Beds are very comfortable and surround sound is nice. Had everything we needed. Thanks for having us!

Beautiful house

We only stayed for one night but I truly wished we could have stayed longer. It was a great place. Very clean and nicely decorated. Just a comfortable, homey, apartment. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great spot just outside Boston

Luxurious and Abundant Amenities

Mark's home offered a perfect stay for my family of four. The home was an impeccably restored property with a proper living room which had very comfortable furniture to relax in. There was a full dining table to eat at and an impressively outfitted kitchen. The bedrooms had the most comfortable beds with high end linens and all the storage you might need. The towels were a very pleasant surprise, super thick and luxurious. And the supplies were abundant. The train to get into Boston was a short drive away. A perfect stay - thank you!

Everything we needed

Mark‘s place was very convenient to Boston and the North Shore. It had everything we needed and the coffee was great!! The rooms were comfortable and the AC was a pleasure after 100 weather all day.

Beautiful home!

This was such a perfect home-away-from-home for our family to explore Boston and the surrounding areas. It is beautiful with wonderful, original architectural details. Our host was friendly and thought of everything we might need- well stocked kitchen and coffee. Great location in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of the train station. Highly recommended!

My fav VRBO stay

My husband and I stayed here for a night and wish we could’ve spent a week. This place really brings in all the comforts of home - the cleanliness of the home, the quality of the furniture, even the linens and pillows are high end. The bed has to be one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in while traveling. I just really appreciate Mark’s attention to detail in the providing the creature comforts to visitors. And to top it off even the shower had Whole Foods shampoo, conditioner, and body wash! The neighborhood seems very nice and safe which is a big plus and there are plenty of nice restaurants and places to eat at nearby.

My favorite VRBO that I’ve stayed at.

My husband and I stayed here for just two nights and immediately wished we could have stayed longer. This home is the perfect blend of comfort, quality, and thoughtful detail—it truly feels like a home away from home. Everything was spotless, the furniture was nice and comfortable, and even the linens and pillows were exceptionally cozy. The bed, in particular, was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in while traveling. The living room tv was equipped with a sound system around the room.We loved the well-stocked bookshelves filled with games and a great selection of books for every kind of reader. The kitchen was another standout—fully equipped with spices, seasonings, a few teas, and even a local coffee. Mark’s attention to detail really shines through in every aspect of the stay—even the shower was stocked with Whole Foods shampoo, conditioner, and body wash and the water pressure was glorious The neighborhood felt safe and peaceful, and there were plenty of dining options nearby. Mark thoughtfully provided menus on the kitchen table, which made picking a spot to eat super convenient.All in all, this place was a gem, and we hope to come back for a longer stay in the future.

Better than fantastic

This beautiful and charming home was everything we thought it’d be and more! Mark was great with communication and his home provided the perfect stay. The beds were top notch in comfort (even the pillows and bedding were wonderful)! I loved that he had eco-friendly products - laundry detergent, dishwasher pods, etc. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, condiments and spices. There were easy directions for the television. Mark was friendly and outgoing when we met the morning of our departure. Thank you again! Definitely would stay anytime I’m in Boston.

Beautiful home

Booked our stay to attend a concert at Roadrunner in Boston which was an easy Uber ride away. Mark was very kind and allowed us to check in early, the courtyard behind the house was beautiful with a cozy patio furniture to relax in. The house was spotless and beds were very comfortable. Will absolutely book again for future Boston endeavors. Highly recommend!
