"This hotel is horribly run. I reserved 2 nights on Expedia only to get there and the hotel staff to tell me they had no record of my booking. The room had not been cleaned or readied for guests because they were not expecting a guest. I had to call the owner who supposedly lives in Austria, made an international call for that and he was very dismissive of the situation and offered no help. "Fredericks Lodge is an oasis in Kumasi. It is a convenient distance from the airport and is more of a boutique hotel. It is impeccably clean with comfortable beds and high quality linen. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was just what we needed to start our day with a selection of Ghanaian and European options. This is my second time staying there because it is so welcoming and safe."

"I like the outdoor space. It was very clean and open. It's a nice hotel but our room was a little dated. Nothing bad. Just need a fresh coat of paint and newer accessories like curtains or blinds. The place was clean and safe. There's always someone at the gate. The neighborhood was somewhat walkable. The staff was very nice and helpful. The distance from the city center is not accurate.
