The lovingly and comfortably furnished apartment
is in the attic (3rd STOCK) of an apartment complex & offers space for 4 (max. 5) people on 55 m².
The apartment has
- a combined living and dining area (incl. TV + sofa bed for 2 more people.)
- with open kitchen,
- 2 bedrooms, (high-quality mattresses and slatted frames were purchased in the children's room in 2018)
- 1 exclusive bathroom as well
- 1 separate toilet.
The kitchen is well equipped
- with dishwasher & microwave.
- Coin operated washing machine and dryer as well
- 1 bike room is for you in the basement.
- 1 internet connection (W-LAN) can of course be used free of charge.
The apartment is suitable for allergy sufferers, so pets and smoking are not permitted.
1 large car parking lot is available free of charge behind the building on the property and can be accessed directly all year round.

Dear guests for booking:
Please note that we can only confirm bookings in the main travel times (from April to October) if there is a gap of at least 7 days before the arrival day (Saturday) and after the departure day (Saturday) or if there is a gap direct connection booking to an existing booking.

When booking in the off-season, please also take into account the number of minimum nights of 3 days. You can find these in our booking calendar below and the price overview above.

Arrival by car:
You can reach the Emden outer harbor via the A31, the pier
in the Dutch Eemshaven via the N33 or B46. (Addresses for your navigation device: Zum Borkumanleger 6, 26723 Emden; Borkumkade 1, 9979 Eemshaven, NL). Guests who do not want to take their car with them to the island will find plenty of paid parking spaces.

Traffic restrictions apply on the island in the seasons from April to October and between Christmas and New Year. During this time, the local area may not be accessed by car. The Strandhus is outside this restricted area. You can drive directly to Strandhus and park there free of charge at the house.
Public parking spaces are subject to charges.

Arrival by train or plane: train
IC and Regional Express trains go directly to the Emden outer harbor and stop right in front of the ferry and catamaran jetty. Your DB ticket is valid on many routes for the entire connection, including the ship passage.

From the Emden outer harbor, continue by ferry or catamaran (see below).

Rail luggage service: Rail travelers can have their luggage transported from their home to the service office in the holiday residence on Borkum using the Hermes courier service.

With the OLT you fly from Emden to Borkum in about 15 minutes.
Air Hamburg offers flights from HH-Uetersen or HH-Fuhlsbüttel.

Arrival by ferry / on the island: ferry / catamaran
The shipping company AG EMS departs from Emden (ferry 2:15 am, catamaran 1 hour) and from Eemshaven, NL (50 minutes). A reservation is recommended for arrival by catamaran or car transport on the ferry.
The AG EMS offers a local luggage service to the holiday residence from the ferry ports Emden and Eemshaven. Registration at the ticket office, delivery at the ship's exit.

Borkumer Kleinbahn
The 7km route from the jetty to the town center can be covered all year round by island train or bus. The island railway is already included in the ticket purchased. From the train station it is about a 400m walk to the apartment.
