This is the perfect retreat for a family, couples, or an individual who wants a private getaway. Nestled on a quiet road you can enjoy your morning coffee on the porch and watch the sunrise, or enjoy a relaxing night by the cove. This is the perfect home for anyone who wants to relax not far from adventure.

Walk to Five Island Lobster Co for an authentic lobster dinner, or stop in a Five Island Farm where you can pick up local provisions and libations for a night in.

Reid State Park, known for its sandy beaches is only 0.7miles away and a park pass is provided. The town of Bath, dubbed "Maine's coolest little city" is only 13 miles away, Brunswick 21 miles & Portland 47 miles. There is plenty to do at and around East Ledge!

This is surely heaven! We have never been more comfortable in rental. Michael and Carol are so welcoming, and have thought of everything you may need during your stay. The views are breathtaking, and the location is very peaceful. It was the perfect place for us to relax and take in the beauty of the coast. Thank you both so very much.

Perfect in every way!

This cottage is in the perfect location, surrounded by water and an easy walk to Five Islands Lobster. Every room was really comfortable, with plenty of space to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. We’ve never stayed in a more well stocked rental, there is nothing they haven’t thought of. The beds were all great, and having several bathrooms was great. We loved sitting outside watching the boats go by and the birds, mink and deer. Could not recommend this spot more highly, perfect!!

The view is amazing and the house is cozy with nice amenities. Perfect place to gather outside or in and take walks to the pier to enjoy delicious food at the lobster company.

Like being at your cousin's cabin

This was our first trip to Maine and this home was our first stop (of three) during our stay. It definitely was our favorite! We enjoyed being welcomed by Carol and having the chance to ask questions. Having Reid State Park nearby is like having a beach in your backyard (thanks for the pass). I've stayed in numerous vrbos over the years and, by far, Michael is the most responsive host I've encountered.

Magical Birthday Peacefulness

Amazing sunrises and sunsets. The perfect tranquil relaxation spot. Every gadget and serving utensil was on hand. The best morning coffee in a while. Would have liked to know the fireplace was off limits beforehand but all in all amazing

a beautiful cottage by the sea

Michael and his mom were amazing hosts for our stay in Georgetown, Maine. Upon walking in to the home, I immediately felt comfortable and as if I were walking into a space that was filled with love, laughter, and so many other good things. The home was the perfect size, had the most amazing view, and satisfied my and my friend's need to climb on rocks and do some beach combing. :) We visited Reid State Park and attending the art fair, grabbed lobster rolls from Five Islands and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My only suggestion to Michael is to include a note about the stairs leading up to the 2nd floor as they are rather steep. Those steps would not stop me from booking this space again. Thank you again for creating such a lovely space. Lisa & Greg

Beautiful Getaway

This place at East Ledge on Georgetown Island was incredibly well appointed with everything one could want for a comfortable stay. All sorts of kitchen appliances, well-stocked cupboards, lap blankets for comfy lounging, books, puzzles, games, a TV room with a shelf of DVD's, outdoor chairs and table on a deck immediately overlooking Sheepscot Bay, with its seals and loons and lobster boats ... what more could you ask? Add to this a free pass to gorgeous Reid State Park (not to be missed!) just down the road and you've got something close to heaven.

Amazing waterfront!

This place is so peaceful! Being able to see the water from just about every room. The pics in listing can’t even begin to show the beauty of this spot! Super clean and a kitchen with great utensils and pans, anything you need! Would stay again!

We loved East Ledge!

Our group of 6 had a lovely week at East Ledge! Carol met us at the house when we arrived and provided a tour and some useful information about the house. The area is quiet but a short walk from fresh lobster and ice cream and a short drive from the perfect town of Bath. We would highly recommend this stay!

Relaxing home on the water

We enjoyed our stay at this home which is located right on the water. It is a great place to read some books, relax and gaze out towards the water. We saw a lot of birds, seals, dolphins and more. Please note that there are 1,200 gallon water tanks for showering and cooking.

Coastal View and Cozy Cottage

The view of the cove is wonderful, the kitchen is well stocked, and the hosts are very responsive. The state park pass is a nice bonus. No washer/dryer on site, which could be clearer in the description. Also, with steep stairs this cottage is not for anyone with mobility issues. Still, a lovely location.

Charming cozy home with great views

We stayed at East Ledge for a month and just loved it. We decided to rent for a month during our son’s last college soccer season. A great location, 5 minutes from Reid State Park, close to Bath with all its amenities. Can’t recommend it more highly!!!

Week of family memories at a wonderful location!!

Hurricane Lee hit just as we were heading up but that did not deter us. The owner was amazing at communicating every step of the way. The area lost power but the backup generator allow the refrigerator and some key lights to work so we were good! We had power by 1pm Sunday after we returned from a day trip to Bath. The place is amazing!! Very comfortable, we lacked nothing, and the views were nothing less than amazing!! My husbands family took care of the property when it was a camp. What stands there now is absolutely incredible. If you are looking for a place to unwind, this is the place. Thanks to Carol and Mike for making oit stay an amazing memory filled and memory making week!!

Great time at east ledge

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at a cottage in a quiet little cove in Georgetown. The cottage was clean and supplied everything we needed. There was an excellent view of the water and pine trees with lobster boats gliding back and forth. Beautifully scenic. The Five Islands Lobster Pier was a walk away for a fresh seafood meal. We also enjoyed a lovely meal at Blue restaurant located in Greyhaven Inn on the water. The owner supplied a pass to Reid State park, another gem in the area. All in all a wonderfully tranquil time on the water. Hope to go back. Thank you Michael and Carol. Jan & Michael Cote

Home with a beautiful view

Waterfront retreat!

I was looking for a peaceful retreat with a view of the water - and that is exactly what I experienced at this comfy home. Watching the light on the water, walking to Five Islands Libster Co for dinner, and strolling at Reid State Park were highlights!

Outstanding Georgetown Waterfront Location

We are originally from New England, and we now reside in a more financially friendly state 900+ miles south of this location. Every June we get back to this mid-coast Maine area to enjoy the weather & the cold-water seafood, the Boothbay activities and the piece & quiet of coastal Maine in June. The house was extremely well equipped and very comfortable. Thank you, Carol & Biscuit, for your visits and welcoming us to your special neighborhood. North Atlantic Paradise

If you want incredible views, access to the freshest seafood less than a five minute walk away, the most perfect Maine beach a five minute drive away and the cleanest, most comfortable house to retire to in the evening....look no further than Michael's place here. It truly is incredible.
