Dream Mountain Retreat with Views

Welcome to Whispering Pines!

Amazing gorge view just minutes from Blowing Rock in the log cabin community of Beau Ridge! This cozy two-bedroom, two-bathroom log cabin is perfect for your mountain retreat. Sit on the back deck and enjoy the gorge views from the covered porch or relaxing in the hot tub. This home has an open floor plan, level entry, a gas log fireplace, a whirlpool tub in the master bathroom, a hot tub on the back deck, impressive gorge views, a gas grill, cable, wireless internet, and is just a few minutes from downtown Blowing Rock. If you need more space for a larger group, we also rent another cabin within walking distance to this home. This home has NO A/C, no landline phone, no washer/dryer, and no dishwasher. No extra towels are provided. There are ceiling fans and windows for summer cooling.

All the same, the view off the back deck is quite captivating!

There is nothing not to love about this place! Such a cute and cozy cabin! The view is incredible! I loved watching the butterflies too! As long as you are ok with hand washing dishes and no washer/dryer it is great!

Beautiful view, great location

Overall, very good property for a short stay. A couple of things to be mindful of: the neighbors are extremely close, even within a whispers distance, there is no dishwasher and there is no washer and dryer. The tub was filthy and could not be used. Other than that great!

The view is amazing! This house was cozy but missing those extra touches you get from a listing managed by an owner. Very little attention given to the kitchen. Pans in bad shape and everything just thrown in the cabinets. We had pillow with no pillow cases. The porch furniture had not been rearranged after the last guests had moved it all over the deck. Just a little more attention to detail is needed. Great location not too far from town.

Just what we needed

This place had one of the best views of any cabin we've stayed in. We were looking for quiet and secluded and this offered both! Decor was cozy without the gaudy "cabin" overstatement that many places do. Close to Blowing Rock and the Parkway! Hot tub was incredible! We will be staying here many times in the future!

Just alright

We enjoyed our weekend away very much, but thay was because we were together! The home needs some work. The tub is not usable (it took 1 hour to fill it 1/3 of rhe way up and the hot water gave out), it is not private, you are nestled very close to other homes (sitting in the hot tube we could have talked to the neighbors), and the bed needs to be replaced. The kitchen is not set up for cooking your meals. Very few supplies and a tiny stove. We made the best of it and enjoyed our time, but for the price and above mentioned items, we would definitely not stay here again.

Great view

Very clean house! Two awesome bathrooms. Huge back deck, nicely covered for bad weather, or open area for sunbathing when it's nice outside. Great for grilling out. Very nice deck rockers and picnic table.The hot tub was well maintained and clean, set in an open area for stargazing. The back deck is private, and the view overlooks the valley below, with mountains out in the distance. Very quiet location at night.This location is well stocked with all your basic needs. Don't wear white shoes when traveling here in bad weather. The parking area is well maintained, however in inclement weather is very dirty as it is gravel. We will definitely rebook in the future!

AWESOME time!

We had a wonderful time! The property was clean and had everything we needed to relax. Kitchen was properly stocked. Hot Tub was hot worked perfectly. Wish there was a manual for the Hot Tub to understand what all the buttons did. We would stay there again!

Great Place, Great Views...with that old dog smell

The place was fantastic except for the old dog smell that hits you when you first walk into the house. Once it was aired out (30-45 min), the place was perfect. A deep clean of the area rugs, and the place would be a 5/5.

Great getaway

This is a fabulous little find just minutes from Blowing Rock. The views from the back deck are hard to beat! We had a minor issue at check in, as neither of the codes provided to us would open the door. We called property management and they had a new code set up in minutes. Beds have great mattresses, water pressure in shower was spot on. Quiet spot yet still very close to the parkway and town. One minor issue, the hot tub sits beneath some overhanging limbs, and while enjoying it, leaves and debris would blow in. Property should leave a skimmer so guests can remove these items if necessary. All in all, would definitely recommend and should our travels bring us back will definitely consider renting again.

The cabin view was beautiful, the patio area was spacious and the cabin was easily accessible from the main road. However, the hot tub was never able to reach above 99, the indoor tub was not able to fill quickly with HOT water for anyone to use and the cabin felt congested due to all the extra decor and furniture. The bathroom photos online were great, but the water didn’t stay hot and the indoor tub was disappointing to not be functioning correctly.

Perfect Romantic Getaway

Everything was great. The views were breathtaking. The jacuzzi inside was awesome, however just took forever to fill up and ran out of hot water. Overall we loved our stay and would return.

Location was far enough out to be "away" but close enough to town that food delivery was available and trips into town were short. The house itself was great!! Cozy is a great description. All amenities were functional and as described. We would definitely stay again. Overall great stay.

Whispering pines

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was well equipped. The baseboard heat and fireplace will run you out but opening the doors was super nice. We loved the deck area. Beds were comfy! We did have a little mouse run across the room on our final night. We will be booking this cabin again for next year! Can’t wait to return.
