"Arrived and checked in quickly. Efficient young chap did all the preliminaries and we headed to our room. Room was in the main building at the front. Large room with plenty of wall lights and lamps as well as spot lights. Lovely sized room and bathroom. Plenty of boiling hot water as soon as the tap was turned. Beds were clean and very comfy. "Everything was wonderful EXCEPT no air conditioning so the whole hotel felt like a sauna (we were there during a heat wave in May) and they didn’t do table service for dinner so we had to order our food and drinks from the bar, which isn’t the end of the world but knocks a star off the rating. "The staff were really helpful and looked after us well. Hotel is in good location and about half an hour drive to Salisbury and Stone Hedge. The free parking helps. The hotel can do with TLC"

"This is a very old characterful property, with low beams etc. Venue was chosen for a small family reunion and everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The staff were all very polite, helpful and patient which adds to the enjoyment. The food was really excellent and thanks to the chef none of our group had any complaints, Definitely recommend."

"Rooms were nice and clean, check in swift and staff friendly. Had the worst nights sleep of my life though. Had to move rooms at 12am as couldn’t get to sleep in my first room due to a constant drone sound from a pump in the building. Reception staff moved me immediately. Finally settled down in the new room only for the fire alarm to go off at 2am. I’m sure my experience would’ve been fine had it not been for those problems"

"Stayed 12th-14th june. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean etc. Only one downfall .... I booked a room and they charged me to park in the carpark 😂 , but when you go outside and look at the signs. It says free from Friday to Sunday. But otherwise excellent. I cannot fault the place. It was modern, clean, lively . Very happy and would stay again"
