"The place is clean and quiet. Good getaway from the city. I booked with Expedia and as I was checking out. They charged me extra $ for cleaning fee. I did pay a good amount for a night and I’m surprised it wasn’t included in the first place. It also wasn’t mentioned when I was checking in, but I’m still giving a 5 star because it’s the best sleep I had in a long while. The staffing was super nice. They supplied us with lighter fluid and lighter stick to light our charcoal! Lots of places to...

"The Stavrand is an exceptional property; right away it is noticeable how the staff cares about their patrons. They go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The location is an easy drive to any winery and walkable to downtown Guerneville for food and drink; be sure to hit up the local bank turned into an ice cream shop! "

"Highland Dell is a lovely old lodge overlooking the beautiful Russian River. The host were friendly and helpful. The bed is very comfortable. I highly recommend dining at the restaurant. Our schnitzel was excellent and the house-made apple strudel is unsurpassed! I keep thinking about it. The breakfast included with the room is the best, by far, I have had at a hotel. Try the pastries. The rooms are VERY small, but nice, like in the old days when people didn't have as much stuff. Get over it....

"Very clean and cozy place. Also it was very quiet, so we had a good night sleep. Front desk staff was friendly. The hotel is conveniently located to all places one needs: coffee shops, a small town with s beach. We loved it there!"

"Loved everything about this resort. I only wish it had been a bit warmer so we could have enjoyed the fire pit overlooking the ocean. Our room was cozy and warmed by a stove fireplace and had a beautiful view of the ocean. We were greeted with delicious cookies and a free glass of wine. More delicious bakery treats were available in the morning with coffee. I highly recommend a stay at this resort."

"We had a restful stay at Occidental Lodge. Staff was very kind and welcoming upon arrival. Room was clean and beds were very comfortable, photos are an accurate representation. We'd recommend getting a room on the second floor as we had one on the lower floor and could hear the footsteps of the guests above us. "
