We invite you to enjoy 'Aftermath,' our 4th generation family cabin on the ocean, 7 miles north of Bodega Bay, 5 miles south of Jenner. Experience the drama of the sea right outside your living room windows. Sleep to the soothing music of the waves. Wake to a walk on the sandy beaches of Duncan’s Cove and Wright’s Beach. Venture out and explore Sonoma County's unique treasures including the charming villages of Bodega, Duncans Mills and Guerneville. Wander beneath the centennial redwoods of Armstrong Grove. Taste award winning wines of the Russian River Valley. Among our favorites are Rochioli, Gary Farrell, and Lynmar. Watch the sun sink into the sea from the warmth of your ocean perched hot tub. Relax, revitalize and relive the day’s events.

Creature comforts include three flat screen smart TVs, Roku and YouTube TV, Netflix and HBO Max, high speed wireless Internet, enclosed garden patio, deck with hot tub overlooking the sea, and indoor gas fireplace.

Comfortable floor plan includes two master bedroom/bathrooms, both with Cal king beds, adjoined by great room - kitchen/dining/living room area. There is a sofa bed in the family room.

Ideal for one or two couples and a couple of kids.

Perfect stay!! The home was immaculate and well appointed. The kitchen had everything one would need. The bed was very comfortable. The fenced-in courtyard was delightful. But the best part, an incredible view overlooking Wright's Beach and a very short, easy, couple minute walk to access the beach.

This was a lovely cottage stay at the cliff side of Wrights beach in Bodega Bay. This is a perfect location and everything in the house was just wonderful- the beds, the games, the kitchen, hot tub and deck too.

This was out 9th stay at this amazing property. it was the best time EVER! We've been here all 4 seasons. They are all beautiful in their own way. We've never had any issues. Always like coming home. The beds are great. Bedrooms and baths are great. The kitchen has everything you need. Great cookware, dishes, silverware, cleaning supplies, pantry items, coffee maker and filters. The walk/hike down to the water is so BEAUTIFUL and FUN! The day we checked in 7/30 was the best day of my life! We have our stay in 2026 booked!

Never want to leave

This was our 5th year staying at Aftermath. We love our yearly tradition here. Saw so many whales! Took a day fishing trip with Sonoma Coast Adventures, highly recommend them. Taking home tons of fish. A nice tip for fellow visitors is we load all our beach stuff and drive one minute down the highway to the state park campground at Wrights Beach. The bathrooms are close and you can spend all day in the sand. We are always sad to leave the coast and Aftermath but we’ll see you next year!

This place is a little gem with calming ocean view. It is nice to sit on the chair in front of the window and read a book or enjoy a glass of wine. Beautiful! Hot tub outside overlooking the cliff and the ocean was super nice to watch sunset! I, however, suggest to the owners to wash bed comforter and pillows covers. It seems that these items were not washed for a long time and smelled heavily by a dog or unwashed body. The whole place smelled like animals. We had to keep all doors opened to get fresh air in. Also, the owners have to bring water in and pump it so the water pressure in the shower is barely existent. It is understandable, however, if you have a lot of hair, it is hard to manage with this water pressure. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our time there and reading the story of two math teachers who bought this place (The aftermath) a long time ago. Very adorable!

Visit to the Beach

What an amazing view when we first walked in. It never became old but instead enjoyed all the activities of both human and animal! Met neighbor who was delightful and shared about the area. Beds comfortable and kitchen fully equipped. Great history to the home and close to restaurants and Bodega shopping.

My mother celebrated her 93rd birthday on this trip. We started renting this property in 1988 and it was a wonderful full circle memory for her. The place was lovely. The only complaint was the water pressure was quite low, but totally understandable with the water situation on the Coast. Will definitely recommend this property to others.

3rd year at this property. Location, views, neighborhood all great. They provide all you would need. Close enough to Bodega Bay, Jenner and Duncan Mills. Do not miss the pastries at the Duncan Mills bakery.

Exceeded expectation

Beyond wonderful. I planned to bring my mom and aunt for my aunts 80th bday celebration. My aunt ended up breaking her hip and couldn’t make it. Beth was kind enough to allow me to bring my son instead. The house is breathtaking form the moment you enter the courtyard and see the beautifully cared for yard. Then you enter the current cottage with a wall of windows with stunning closeness to the ocean. You feel like you could jump right in. The love and care that the family has for this house is clear everywhere. It was very nicely updated. Very clean, and comfortable. We made meals, played games, which they have many there, watched movies by the fire, walked the beach and had the best time! We hope to stay again as soon as we can.

The BEST!!

Just WOW! It is EXACTLY what we hoped for. Actually more. For two couples it could not possibly be more ideal. Two master bedrooms with plenty of privacy yet cozy and homey. The view simply can not be beat. End of story. And walking distance to great hiking trails. We booked again for. November. And I’m sure in November we will book again! Superb!!

Bodega Bay Spring Break 2025

Great property. Beautiful location and views and beach. Hot tub is nice. Dishwasher did not work and kitchen equipment could be better. Also mattress in second bedroom was not comfortable and pillows were probably fine for kids, but not restful for middle aged parents. But we loved it because it’s a sweet little house and the owners obviously love it.

60th Birthday ocean trip

The view is stunning! The house was very clean. The couches, chairs and be beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed. Having the beautiful courtyard was perfect for our dog. We could just let him out in the morning & didn’t have to worry about him. We loved watching the waves & hearing them as well fell asleep. Great place!

Beach Getaway

The house is lovely and perfecty located for us with our dog to enjoy walks on the beach! We especially loved the view (of course) and the garden area in the front. It was the perfect getaway location. We plan on making this a yearly stay.
