The home was on a nice, quiet street and it was clean, well-stocked, and had a wonderful view of the ocean. There was plenty of room to spread out with comfortable furniture and a big screen TV in not only the main room but the game room as well. We also enjoyed the fire pit and the deck, and the property was safe to let our dog roam a little!

Too much deferred maintenance. MB bathroom sink leaked at drain to countertop and cab below. Toilet paper holder was falling off the wall. Kitchen faucet leaked onto counter. Hall bath shower door needs hinges lubed. Patio table and chairs were totally unusable. All 6 chair seats were broken through. Fireplace was disfunctional. Whomever moved the trash bins out for dumping. Thanks but left them out on the street. There was no dish soap. All of this for what amounts to 500 per night... Very disappointing..

House was great! Had everything we needed. Location is unbeatable. Being able to walk to the beach was a game changer. Host was very responsive. We had an issue with the coffee machine the first morning and they had a new one delivered in a few hours. I would definitely stay again! My only suggestion would be to provide beach towels. Not a big deal, but they would have come in handy.

We were looking for a peaceful place, close to the ocean and away from the crowds—and this home was exactly what we had hoped for. What a stunning spot! The house is very well equipped, with absolutely everything you could need. The bedding is incredibly comfortable, and the pool table, fire pit, and barbecue are all great bonuses.The location, just about a hundred meters from the beach, is perfect. We even had daily visits from deer and coyotes :) And the night skies were just magical—no light pollution at all, so we could enjoy stargazing every evening around the fire pit.All in all, this stay was a truly peaceful and happy escape in the middle of our California road trip.

Great house for our families beach trip! Kitchen had everything we needed to make meals at the house. Our boys loved playing pool. The fire pit was great. And the view from the deck is amazing! We loved being able to hear the ocean waves from the house.

Great Stay in Beautiful Bodega Bay

The location of this house is absolutely terrific with fabulous unobstructed views of the ocean from the deck and several windows in the home and that makes this a great choice. We made a fire every morning in the groovy round fireplace and evening inside and had the weather cooperated, we would have had one outside too! Just gorgeous decks! However, the house does have some quirks (just like we people do!) The large dining room table is stunning, but the couches and chair are arranged as if you're in a fifth-wheel camper and you're not allowed to move anything. So, a great hang out space but for sure not a place to watch TV comfortably. The kitchen is really small, not very well organized, and wasn't entirely clean (the top of the fridge was really dirty). It was the biggest disappointment of the trip since we really love to cook. However, on the plus side, we were happy for the grill outside and it worked just fine. Oddly, the primary bedroom has no closet and the side table for one person is really just unusable. For some reason they have locked off the closet, so we used the room across the hall for our clothes which was fine for us, but if we had guests in that room, we would have been stuck with living out of our bags the entire time. The bonus room is great for watching TV or playing pool. We would definitely come back!

Beautiful

The house has amazing views and we loved the outdoor area and fire pit. Great beach access (the highway wasn’t too busy, but cars go really fast so beware when crossing). Loved the pool table and view from the couch in the game room. Plenty of space to relax between the game room and family room sofas. Kitchen is small but well appointed. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Outstanding views!

Arrival: When we got there I couldn’t find my email with the code to get in- it was easy to get a hold of someone that helped right away. Someone even called back within minutes to make sure we got in ok- very responsive! They also had an option of ordering from a local baker- the cookies & brownies were delicious!Location: Not far from Bodega Bay so we were able to still enjoy the shops and restaurants there, yet feel away from it all. We even walked across the hwy to the trail/stairs down to check out Portuguese Beach. But really enjoyed the tidepools at Shell Beach a few min drive north and took a great hike at Bodega Head overlooking the bay. House: Gorgeous views not only from the outside deck area, but also from the living room & main bedroom. The table was perfect for hanging out and playing games- while also enjoying the view. Outside we got to see a family of deer strolling through. Can’t say enough about the beautiful view of the ocean from anywhere on that side of the house! So perfectly peaceful. At night we lit a duraflame log in the cool fireplace and played games- and could still hear the ocean. We also played a few games of pool- fun game room. But we spent most of our time in the front of the house enjoying the view and fireplace. The house was very clean and comfortable. The fireplaces in the bedrooms were a nice touch. We had such a great trip- would definitely recommend and would love to go back. )

Best spot EVER!

This is our second time staying in this beautiful property - we have made so many family memories! The views and sunsets are amazing, we played cards and board games on the deck and on the big table inside by the fire. Being just steps away from the beach was the best part for our pup - she had the best time too and will sure keep all the way home. We will be back! Thank you for giving us everything we needed for a relaxing getaway

Space and Light

The house was spacious for the 4 of us and the big windows let in lots of light so it is a very relaxing place to be. The view of the ocean is amazing from the house. We enjoyed being able to walk to Portuguese Beach and stroll through the quiet neighborhood, play pool, etc. Overall a very comfortable place to stay. The host was great with communication and was very helpful when I had a question about the locking system. The one improvement I would recommend is that the house could use a decent set of pots and pans and a good knife set and cutting board. Side note: the VRBO site says that it is sleeps 8 people but the beds and the guest book on site states max 6 people and the number of beds is appropriate for 6 people.

Birthday Celebration

We planned our trip to Bodega Bay to celebrate our daughter's birthday, and graduation from college. Everyone loved the home, the location was perfect, the views were amazing, and we really enjoyed the pool table! We loved how close to the beach it was. We spent the day on the beach and it was perfect. If we come back to Bodega Bay in the future, we will definitely love to stay here again!

Bodega Beach House Serenity

We stay at one or two VRBO`s yearly. This property was one of the top vacation rentals we`ve experienced. Many Pro`s including maintenance staff and logistics team response time. The first night we had a shower head break. The staff immediately dispatched the maintenance staff to respond. Who arrived well ahead of the estimated time. He was very courteous and professional. Returning ASAP with the repair part and expertly installing the new fixture. Couple of items for mention. Remote in theatre room did not seem to function. Not a deal...we had a remote app on my iPhone. There is a lose wood tile that needs glued down directly under dining room table seat. The house was very clean with the exception of main floor could have used mopping. I`m nit picking a little there because my 1 and 4 year old granddaughters feet were very dirty after playing in that area the first couple hours after arrival. Bottom line. Our stay was fantastic and we would most definitely recommend to others, and be returning here for future stays in Bodega Bay.

Beautiful ocean view. Quiet neighborhood. We saw quite a few wild animals that my daughter loved so much. Easy walk to beach. First time we did not have to make any efforts to see sunset. Close to other landmarks. We really enjoyed staying in the property. Thanks a lot.

Very Beautiful view and house. It was clean. But all the outdoor furniture was worn or torn which made being outside not so enjoyable.

Getaway

Great stay at Bodega Bay Beach home. The property is very close to the water, the view is amazing, you can even hear the waves and there is a house fairly close that blocked the wind. We loved the extra room with the pool table, allowed us to spread out and enjoy. The house had everything we needed, only 2 complaints were the showers, which worked, but with very light pressure and the TV in the main room wouldn't work, but otherwise wonderful stay. Would also recommend that you provide coffee and filters that fit the coffee maker. Ty for the late checkout!

Perfect location

Beautiful house with an amazing location. The two minute walk to the beach was absolutely perfect for our family. Nicely kept house with good amenities.

Another Fabulous Stay at Bodega Bay

Loved the place before, loved it even more now. Superb upgrade in adding what used to be the garage game room into the house proper with a new TV, awesome lounges and all. Missed the ping pong table a little bit, but the "trade" for an all enclosed game and additional TV room was well worth it! Thanks again and looking forward to our next stay!

Most relaxing vacation ever

This is the BEST place to stay, it has become our favorite place to go! Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves on Portuguese Beach is the best! The house is super cozy, and we love the deer that visit throughout the day.
