This is a lovely and comfortable farmhouse turned into a B&B. We had a lovely room with en suite bathroom (claw foot tub with a shower). There is a beautiful parlor and a dining room with self-serve coffee, tea etc, breakfast (baked goods, boiled eggs) and snack foods and refrigerated beverages. The house is on a country road but just a mile from the built-up part of the road in Bloomington with Kroger, CVS, restaurants. There is a 2 mile walking trail we didnt have time to enjoy (next time). Easy 15 minute drive from IU and Bloomington events. Loved this beautiful and relaxing get-away. We'll be back!

There was no one at property. Living room had dedead bugs and bed looked like someone slept on it. Had eerie feeling so left and moved to hotel. Next day I was told by locals that it is haunted. The owner send me text that day that no one is there except for guest

The house is a beautiful, historic home that is in need of some attention in terms of exterior painting, landscaping, etc. I was told that there was no one else staying at the property (no guests or property staff) and that there was a Keurig machine. Unfortunately when I arrived, there were no Keurig pods. This B&B does not offer breakfast and you will need to drive about 8 miles into Bloomington (I was given a $30 voucher for my 4 day stay). This was not particularly convenient. Lastly, some flies and a wasp entered my bedroom through a window that was closed but perhaps not well-insulated. I wish that a property manager would have at least come to check on me during my stay and inquire about any needs since I paid close to $1,000 for a 4-night stay.

The property was listed as a bed and breakfast but oddly there were no staff onsite. I did not know this until I received a text. It felt deserted. Also there was no food served and instead we were given a gift certificate to a restaurant. We didn’t use it but another guest said the restaurant was skeptical of the gift certificate. It didn’t have a bar code or anything to indicate its validity.

We enjoyed the house and had a comfy bed. We booked the place for a bed and breakfast, we were not informed until the afternoon of our stay there would be no breakfast and no one on site. We were given a 30 gift card to a restaurant that was 20 minutes away and opposite direction of heading home. Had we known we would have just booked a hotel that offered amenities.

Our stay at the Beaumont was great. The property is nice and backs up to a preserve, so there is access to a 2 mile trail. There was no staff on the premises and only 4 rooms, so it felt very private. It was just a 15 minute drive into downtown Bloomington. The breakfast voucher provided in the morning was to Southern Stone and it was delicious. The only cons were that the bed was very soft and not super comfortable. And the shower was a little finicky, but not unexpected due to the age of the house.

We enjoyed our stay at the Beaumont House very much! It's a lovely historical home, has easy highway access, and is close to Bloomington to easily make it to football or other events. The hostess was responsive and accommodating. The bed was comfortable and appreciated the in-room bathroom.

Beautiful but Disappointing!
The Victorian-style house/facility was clean, pleasing, and in good condition, and communication was clear and timely. The surprises, which I did not read or hear about, was that it is not staffed. You are given an entry code to the house and to your assigned room, but no one is physically present. Any questions or concerns can be texted. So it's not a bed 'n breakfast in the typical sense; no one is there to prepare breakfast in the morning. Instead, you are provided a $25 credit at a nearby butcher/bakery market (which was very good). The main issue was that I was in the Beaumont room, which faces the front and thus is closest to the road (maybe a 50-60 ft setback). While situated on a two-lane country road, it's a very busy east-west road, and the road noise, even into the night, was surprisingly loud, and kept me from a restful night.

Nice property setting. Room was nice. House was nicely arranged and set-up, Was advertised as a Bed and Breakfast, but found out it was just a bed and breakfast was in town. Management was lacking. Had a hot tub, but no water. Water that was in in it, was rain water. Plants had not been watered and weeds growing in various places. Poison ivy on firewood pile! For being memorial day weekend, I thought might had been spruced-up a bit more as there was also a wedding on teh property. Had to go to restaurant in town for breakfast with a capped food voucher. Bathroom had been cleaned, I think, but found leftover shampoo, mouthwash.

we arrived late and it was pretty spooky going into the dark empty house but once we were inside it was lovely. the only complaint i had was that a breakfast was said to be included but all that was available was coffee

Very quaint. Needs some TLC, better turnover service, nightly greeting lights on porch and front room would be beneficial. Used soap removed from shower and new soap available. Bathroom sink doesn't drain and we had a welcoming gift in our toilet when we arrived. Luckily I have kids who forget to flush!

80 degrees in room at late check in. Adjusted thermostat down to 61 but hot air continued to blow. Had to close all vents and open window before it finally cooled down. Looked like dried blood on the sheets. Antiquated shower in free standing tub did not create relaxing shower experience. Note said breakfast was a location in Bloomington 8 mi away so didn't get that either day.

First night the room was 80 degrees and have to open windows (30 degrees out) and shut all vents. Hot air still pouring against vents after turning upstairs thermostat down to61. Shirts had blood stains (appeared to be). Bed was comfortable and shower in tub antiquated and not too refreshing

Beautiful old house, very comfortable, huge room, nice bathroom. Tv wasn't working, no available water bottles or any other consumable. The passcode for one room was the same for every other room, realized that because the room we had assigned had not been clean so I tried the one next to it thinking that I made a mistake. Huge breakfast dropped at the door by Bob Evans. The entire house for us, it felt like an enchanted place, first time in a bed and breakfast place!!

The house and room were quaint. But my room was street level with poor sound insulation and, even in this rural area, traffic continued through the night. The next day, I asked the manager (off site) to transfer to another quieter room in the rear, as the house was largely empty. She said all rooms were booked, and offered to refund my second night if I wanted to book a hotel, which I couldn't do. I returned to the house the second night and only one other car showed up for the night; most of the rooms remained empty. Breakfast was Bob Evans pancakes and sausages delivered by Door Dash at 9:45. There's no on-site breakfast.

We liked the location and peacefulness. Facility was clean. Automatic lock on door did not work but was provided a key so no problem. Staff very responsive and helpful. Breakfast was not provided either day. The first day we had to travel to a restaurant about 5 or 6 miles away (Southern Stone) where food was very good, and no charge. Second day supposedly breakfast was to be delivered but by our departure at 7am it was not there. Amenities were limited. I was told due to Covid there was no soap/shampoo in bathroom. Was not told this prior to arrival. We liked the place but communication about these items would have been helpful.

There's obviously been a lot of work put into this property fairly recently. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was not served on site but was provided through a voucher from a restaurant about 15 minutes away.

I booked this last minute 1 night getaway and they were able to accommodate us which was nice! When we arrived we were hoping to get in the hot tub but when we got in the jets and lights wouldn’t work when I text the owner she said “I’m so sorry! The weather must have knocked it out.” There wasn’t any weather issues! It was really the only thing I wanted to do was sit and relax in the hot tub but that didn’t happen! And the walls are paper thin we could hear the traffic all night! I’m glad we were the only ones at the B&B because I would’ve been able to hear everything in the house!

Thank you for sharing your feedback. The house was built in 1864 and we welcome feedback so we can see where we can improve. We're working with a construction team to learn what options we have as we move forward.

Love this property so much! It was clean and comfortable. Not to mention, it is a gorgeous home and property. It is secluded and quiet but within 10-15 min of anything you may need. Breakfast was great. Will definitely stay here again.

A sweet respite in a sweet place ....
We so enjoyed our overnight at The Beaumont. Michelle and Darin were so welcoming and accommodating, and the room and breakfast were jist right! Darrin told us of a trail at the back of the property - a great way to work off the second B of "BnB"! We will come again!

We liked everything about the Beaumont House. The owners Darren and Michelle have done a wonderful job in making an old historic house into a beautiful B&B. The rooms are nicely decorated. Beds are comfortable. Private bathrooms are great. Breakfast was very good. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They seem to truly care that you have a wonderful stay. They made us feel at home.We would (and probably will) stay there again. They also have a new Wedding chapel built on the property. What a great place to have a wedding.

Wonderful B & B. Picked this for quick one night stay while doing college visits with my daughter. Easy check in with own code to get into room. Very clean. Goat milk soap, lotion, body wash and hair care products. And actual goats to visit. Out door hot tub, which was perfect on a cool fall night. Didn’t have time for walking trails or sitting around the fire pit with our short stay. Great breakfast and great conversation with the owners over our great breakfast. I appreciated little things too like Charmin toilet paper and small fan to run at night. That’s a must for me and I left mine at home! Highly recommend!

Very nice restoration of a great old farmhouse. The family pets were adorable goats and mutts! Venue for wedding reception looks alluring, as does the giant fire pit out back. Looking forward to seeing the wedding chapel when it is completed!
