"We love the 1661 for many reasons and now there is more to love. The addition of the gym and sauna as well as the expanded farm are great additions.
The only suggestion I have is to use wd 40 on the doors so that when you close a door it doesn't creak and squeak. The insulation between rooms is minimal and I could hear doors closing and opening all night."
"The location is convenient for walking to the ferry, shops and restaurants, but unfortunately that was the highlight of our stay.
The beach was a huge letdown, especially considering how many beautiful beaches Block Island has. It is small, rocky, unkempt with seaweed everywhere and murky water. Beach chairs were limited, dirty, old and broken—one was literally being propped up with a beach rake. One day no chairs were available at all. Staff said-oh well come back later. There was no system...
"The air conditioner in our room was extremely loud, and there was a moisture problem as well. There appeared to be a dehumidifier in our room, but it didn’t work. Also, we ran out of hot water one evening."
"My stay here was very terrible. The room was the tiniest room I ever stayed at for $536. The security was very rude. We were not allowed to sit in the lounge area. We didn’t get any help from housekeeping and we were treated very rudely, I will never stay here again or recommend for anyone to stay here"
"We had a wonderful stay and had everything we needed. Location was wonderful, everything was spotless, bed was very comfy, bathroom was great, and we didn't know it, but we got a surprise porch off our room facing the harbor. Kai, the owner, was in touch and made our stay even more comfortable offering us a car rental when the rest of town was sold out. I recommend the Inn at Old Harbor highly and will absolutely be staying again,"
