"We love the 1661 for many reasons and now there is more to love. The addition of the gym and sauna as well as the expanded farm are great additions.
The only suggestion I have is to use wd 40 on the doors so that when you close a door it doesn't creak and squeak. The insulation between rooms is minimal and I could hear doors closing and opening all night."

"When we arrived into our room, there was Hair from the previous guest, stuck all over the shower wall. The floor had dirt on it that when got wet from the shower it stained everything, including our clothing. Water was inaccessible past a certain time in the night because they gated off the vending machine, and there was no other way to get water as a guest. We were only there for 36 hours so I waited to let the staff all the details when we were checking out and when I wrote an email explaining...
"The location of the property is excellent. The breakfast included is of very good quality. The wine hour is great; an hour earlier would help to open your appetite and go out for dinner. The personal is very kind and attentive. we'll be back for sure."
"Great location and staff. Owners could do better and put hot water out with the coffee. A sign says “ask front desk for hot water.” Really? Also put more towels in the rooms. And don’t charge for an aspirin at the front desk. Seems like guests are nickeled and dimed. Thanks for your help Cindy. You saved the ship."
