"We chose this cabin for the cosy part of our winter trip to Iceland. We had the perfect time: aurora borealis dancing over the sky, while we were soaking in the hot pot, lake and mountains covered in snow. The house is so nicely designed, so cosy and lovely. I enjoyed my morning coffee(s) in front of the fire place, reading, while the rest of the family was still sleeping. "The property was immaculately clean, and spacious. The cooktop is only two burners, but this is more than made up for by the Nespresso coffee maker, the microwave and bake oven, and a very well functioning Weber barbecue.We all enjoyed the sparkling, clean, hot tub.While a 20 minute drive from Selfoss, this location was perfect for us for tours to Grindvik, Geysir, Thingvellir, Vik and the multiple beautiful waterfalls."

"The view from Stekkar is breathtaking! Farmland below, lots of horses and sheep, river, church, skyline of glacial mountains where the sun sets. We really enjoyed being in the countryside, relaxing environment.Enjoyed the hot tub multiple times. Beds were comfy, kitchen adequately stocked. WiFi good overall, especially with two twenty-somethings. We used the grill a couple times after visiting the Farmers market just down the road with great fresh produce and local meats. "Die Hütte ist für 4 Personen geräumig genug, jeder hat sein eigenes Schlafzimmer. Von der Einrichtung her ist alles vorhanden, was man für einen mehrtägigen Aufenthalt benötigt, sogar Waschmaschine und Trockner. Genervt haben nur die Kriebelmücken."

"It was a very nice cottage in a great location. It is definitely small house living but was plenty big enough for my wife and I. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was in very good condition. The living area was well windowed and the views were spectacular. Very peaceful and serene, but not too far from a bunch of really good eating places as well as Selfoss, which was a much larger town than I expected."
