"The Bonta House" located in downtown Blairsden, CA

Welcome to Blairsden's oldest home, located on the corner of Bonta Street and Second Street right in downtown Blairsden. This home was originally built in 1912, the north half. In 1936 it got an addition of the south half and the upstairs. The reason why the house has two front doors, originally one door was for each part of the house! The entire house was renovated starting in 2020 and completed in 2023. Blairsden was originally a railroad town, where people would get off the train to visit the Feather River Inn and the Lakes Basin Mohawk Valley area. In today’s world, it’s still the same: location, location, location! Right across the street is The Grizzly Grill, Gumba’s 2 Go, also within walking distance is Sierra Smoke show BBQ and The Lost Sierra Wine Company. The Bonta house is the closest vacation home of any kind to the Corner Barn, which regularly has weddings and other events, so if you’re attending a wedding here you better book now! Blairsden is 1 1/2 miles to Graeagle, 3 1/2 miles from Plumas Pines, 14 miles to Lakes Basin, 5 1/2 miles to Johnsville and the State Park. So, if you are looking for convenience, you’re not going to find a better location than The Bonta House.
