6/10
This property is a hidden gem, but it feels like the owners don’t fully appreciate its potential. With just a $300–$400 investment, this could be the kind of destination guests never want to leave.
I was cautious and only booked one night, which turned out to be the right call. The photos were somewhat misleading, and while I accept some responsibility for not scrutinizing the listing more closely, the room was supposed to include a kettle—which wasn’t there. That made late-night comfort a challenge.
We encountered a few serious issues:
• The toilet began leaking.
• The water went out completely.
• There was no response from staff for hours when we tried to report these problems.
That kind of delay in communication is not acceptable, especially when guests are in need.
Some missed opportunities worth addressing:
• Add a microwave and kettle to each room. With no nearby convenience stores and the only kitchen being a 5–7 minute drive away (and only open during the day), guests are left with few options.
• Make it clear that there are no on-site facilities.
• Consider offering a small stocked minibar or emergency essentials for late-night needs.
• Pool toys could use a good cleaning.
On the bright side, the ocean and pool were fantastic, and the kitchen staff were the highlight of our stay—especially the ones who helped us with food by the beach the next day.
This place has a lot of potential. Some TLC and better attention to guest needs, it could be top tier
