Enjoy the stunning view of the continental divide from our deck space offering breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains. The home has no air conditioning however it sits at 8600 ft so it very rarely gets over 80 and the home stays in about the 70s even on the hottest. The temperature stays about 40-50 degrees at night even in the summer.
The main level boasts an open kitchen, wood-burning fireplace, half bath, and a spacious dining area for 8. 75in smart TV, laundry, and comfy seating are also provided.
The second level features a master bedroom with a king bed, walk-in closet, and a small deck with seating.
Bedroom 2 on the second level has a twin bunk over a queen bed and a small game area.
Bedroom 3 offers a king bed with mountain views and a walk-in closet.
The lower level includes bedroom 4 (king), a kitchenette, full bathroom, and a cozy living room with smart TV.
Humidifiers, fans, and heaters ensure your comfort. You are not likely to miss A/C at Starry Peak due to the 8000 ft of elevation.
WiFi and Smart TVs are available, with AT&T and T-Mobile cell service.
In rare instances, WiFi may be unavailable.
Max 2 dogs allowed; no other pets.

• We are located on a gravel/dirt road. In summer months a vehicle with decent tires should have no difficulty accessing the property.
• PLEASE NOTE Vehicles with AWD/4WD and all weather tires are necessary oct-may in the mountains
----WINTER WEATHER INFO--- **Depending on the conditions you may rarely require traction devices or chains between the months of Nov/Dec and March/April to navigate the last 0.1 mile of the drive. Please arrive prepared to use these devices if needed. Plows will only be deployed when 6" of snow accumulates on the road. Management is not responsible for clearing the road until 6" or more have accumulated. We do have a plowing service but despite this, the last 0.1 mile of the drive (Rocky Ridge Rd) is often snow packed with icy spots.
PLEASE check out Colorado Dept of Transportation traction laws which are in effect from Sept 1 to May 1 throughout the state. Following these will help ensure you don't get stuck on the highways during a storm.

Starry Peak Retreat is uniquely located where the Foothills meet the Rocky Mountains.
The property, situated on a ridge, has amazing views of the surrounding mountains.
The home is located on a gravel/dirt road and AWD/4WD with appropriate tires may be necessary for you to gain access to this home reliably in the winter and early spring months. We do have a plowing service and the last 0.8 mile of the drive can be snow packed with icy spots.
***IMPORTANT: 4 x 4 vehicle required in winter months and we strongly suggest having a traction device/chains for inclement weather. Plows will only be deployed if 6" of snow accumulates on the road. Management is not responsible for clearing the road until 6" or more have accumulated.
Personal vehicles are necessary to get around the area. Ride sharing services do not regularly service this area.

There is NO garbage disposal. Please dispose of food remnants in the trash can provided.
Flush ONLY TOILET PAPER please. We are on a septic system and this is critical to the health of the system.
Colorado is a high fire risk area. No fires on the property outside of the gas fire pit, gas grill and fire place. Due to this risk we also do not provide candles and ask that guests refrain from using candles on the property.
No Fireworks of any kind are allowed due to high fire risk.
No discharge of firearms allowed on the property.
No smoking or vaping of any substance and no marijuana products of any kind on the premises due to the potent odor of this product in all forms. A minimum $200 additional cleaning fee will apply if evidence of smoking (including odor) exists on the premises.
No parties- Please do not book this property if you intend to host a big party.
No other illegal substances allowed on the property.
No tampering with or shutting off the WiFi. WiFi is used for the monitoring some of the house's mechanical functions
No tampering with or disconnecting the outdoor security cameras.
Failure to follow house rules may result in removal from property without refund, forfeiture of your deposit, and/or additional fees.
Hazards: This is a 3 story home with no child proofing features or baby gates. There are 2 elevated decks. Stove has counter-height controls. There are burn hazards that include: 1 wood fireplace on the main level, gas fireplace in the master bedroom, electric fireplace in the lower level living room, gas fire pit and gas grill on main level deck, and individual electric heaters in all bedrooms.
