It's obvious the Hotel was undergoing renovations. When we arrived, it wasn't too obvious where the reception was, which was just a desk in the bar area. Our room was on the 1st floor, when coming out of the lift on that floor a room map would have been really useful. We (and another couple who arrived around the same time) were wondering around like lost souls trying to find our allotted room.
The room itself was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Though there was no evacuation map on the back of the door (though when one stepped into the corridor, the route to safety was obvious). Our sleep was good.
One last observation, when we left our room in the morning. We were loaded with a suitcase and several pieces of luggage. When going through a fire door on the way back to reception. My wife opened the door and held it open for me to follow, only to trip up on a single step down of about 10 cm height. My wife stumbled but didn't fall. A notice on the proceeding fire door would have alerted her to the step. Better signage would have helped.
Having said that, we enjoyed our stay.
