"On arrival there was no visible reception, which was surprising given how busy the weekend was. It was very confusing to find our accommodation and we had to call multiple times before anyone answered. The room provided was not the one we booked, and the property looked very run-down. Perhaps new owners but they certainly weren’t very helpful. Rooms were not serviced. For $1,000 for two nights, it was definitely not worth the money and would say, was the worst place we’ve stayed in Pokolbin. Very...

"The hotel was a great stay for a few days, the owner Chris is a nice guy and very accommodating. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and tidy."

"What a beautiful, intimate, quaint cottage and only 10 minutes from the vineyards. Helen was the most lovely host, very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. It was so peaceful and it felt like we were stepping into a cottage in the rolling hills of England. We loved our stay, the lovely breakfast each morning and definitely will be returning in the cooler months to sit around the beautiful log fire with a bottle of the Hunter’s finest."

"Clean room very friendly and helpful husband wife owners on the spot to greet and farewell Thank you"

"Amazing people amazing place. Will be back next year"

"Such a lovely quiet location in love surrounds to enjoy a break away from the city."

"O quarto era agradável, esperávamos menos. Não foi barato, mas nos atendeu. Só o atendimento da recepção que poderia ser mais atencioso. "

"We booked a queen deluxe room for one night. Picked up the room keys in the afternoon but didn’t go to the room straight away as we had a function to go to. On arriving back later that evening on opening the room we were quickly disappointed. Generally the room was quite dusty and felt dirty. The curtains need replacing and were not hanging correctly. The TV remote didn’t work and the back of the air conditioners remote was missing. In the bathroom there was old soap in the soap dish, no hair...

"The accommodation was easy to find and accessing the room simple, thanks to fancy technology. The room was clean, quiet and well maintained, and conveniently located next to a Coles. My only disappointment was expecting a coffee machine, as shown in the online photos, but overall a very comfortable stay which I would recommend to others."

"Everything was as good as always We stay there regularly. Only complaint was we were in the disabled unit room 9 and there was no outside light. It made it difficult to find where to put the key and to see where you walking."

"Not clean at all. Door to balcony only held closed by a chain, which was broken, so not secure either. Wouldn’t stay again."

"Room was clean and a great price, only a short drive to the Hunter valley vineyards which was nice. Great pub atmosphere downstairs. Would stay again."

"Staff are very nice. The place is very old. Mozzy abd no wifi. Food though is excellent."
