Waiting on grandson in Memphis.

My wife and I wanted to be gone from snow in Colorado and closer to our daughter in Memphis while enjoying beach walks and great southern food dishes (daughter expecting first baby first of April). Very light traffic area. Close to park and walking path. Short walk to the beach. Close to big box stores if needed and close to good eating spots. Property was as described. Great communication with hosts. No issues during our one month stay. Everything you need is here for kitchen, laundry, etc. Great for small family. Beds comfortable. We enjoyed our visit.

Much needed getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed the space that this house had. The beds were very comfortable. Possibly another couch in the living room would be nice just in case there were more than 3 people that wanted to sit in the living room.

Clean homely house

The house was very clean and well kept, we lacked nothing. We loved the homeliness of the house. Harold's communication was exceptional, he promptly answered all our questions.

Close to the beach and spacious!

Clean, spacious, lots of blankets, towels, two coolers, trash bags, laundry and dishwasher detergent and toilet paper, toaster oven and coffee pot! Well stocked was a huge plus for us as we like to travel light with kids! Close to the beach. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Our kids loved our trip to Ship Island, Biloxi Shrimp cruise and all the great restaurants nearby.

Fantastic get-away destination!

The host and manager of this home are very good at communicating expectations as well as answering any questions that may arise. The home of this location is clean, comfortable, spacious and very well stocked! As well, it is centrally located to many, many attractions, shops, restaurants and stores and just blocks away from miles and miles of beautiful, pristeen coastline! I would definitely re-visit and I would highly recommend!!

A home that meets your needs

Wonderful house not far from the beach

The house was exactly as listed. It was easy to "check in", was enough room for all of us (3 adults and 3 kids), and only 2-3 blocks from the beach. Harold was easy to contact and quick to respond to any questions or issues we had. We definitely loved the on call hot water heater with all of the showers needed after the beach. There are many seafood restaurants between Pass Christian, Gulfport and Biloxi that have great reviews. We went on Dr. Warners Honey Island Swamp tour (about an hour away in Slidell, LA) and went to the aquarium - wonderful experiences all around. We had a wonderful week and will definitely contact Harold if we come back to Mississippi.

Half bathroom toilet water kept running I fixed it folding doors needed adjusting I fixed that oven was terrible dirty. But when we left every thing was spotless.we enjoyed our stay by walking once or twice a day done exercise .we left in great shape

The Kingfish is absolutely great!!!

The Kingfish is a great home with lots of space and in a great location near food, shopping, highways in and out of the area and only a short distance from the Gulf of Mexico. We chose to drive to the beach versus the 4.5 block walk and always easy to find a place to park. Would definitely stay at the Kingfish if in the area again!!!

Best Vacation Home

This vacation home was absolutely perfect for our trip! It was a great central location to Biloxi and Dauphin Island as well as New Orleans! The house was cozy and comfortable and much better than any hotel room! Highly recommend staying here!

We would stay again.

The property is just like it is listed. The beds are very comfortable and the bedrooms are very nice size. There is plenty of space to spread out for larger families. There is also a nice little park about a half a block away. Within walking distance to the ocean. A few things could use some updating but it looks like they are working on some of those items.

Comfortable and convenient

We were at Kingfish Beach Retreat for a week between Christmas and New Year. The house is well equipped with all amenities required for a comfortable stay. The owners gave us our privacy but were always available (through Harold) for questions and requests. It rained a lot during our stay and it's hard keeping two toddlers dry so we needed a hair dryer - sent a message and it was at the door in less than an hour! The house is ideally located for day trips, plenty of places to see within an hour or two. The weather was a bit disappointing, it was cold, rainy for the most part, so didn't get to enjoy the beaches. But there's plenty to do otherwise in Gulfport and surrounding areas. We traveled with two young kids, and found lots of options that were of interest to them as well. (Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, IMMS, Gulf Coast Gators Ranch, Town Green, The Secretly Awesome Tour in Mobile AL, Day Trip to New Orleans, Pecan House, Biloxi Light House, etc) Would like to go back when the weather is warmer and sunny.

Relaxing week

We enjoyed our stay at the Kingfish Retreat. Close enough to the Gulf that we just walked. The property is in a nice neighborhood and the neighbors we did see were friendly. We were close enough to take a day trip over to New Orleans and enjoyed the WWII museum and the tour of the PT 305, the only originally restored PT boat that fought in WWII. We enjoyed our stay and the kitchen had everything we needed. Thank you!

Absolutely loved it! Very beautiful area, wonderful people!

The house is beautiful! We really didn’t want to leave! Walking distance to the beach and a short drive to anything you need. The house is super cute and was very clean. We hope to return next year!

The house was clean and had everything and more that we needed to accommodate our trip!

The price was great in comparison to the other houses we looked at. Harold was always getting back with our questions within a couple of minutes. The house is close to the beach and in a nice neighborhood with a park a block away. The house was beautiful and comfortable to stay in . I personally reccomend this house to a bigger bunch. We housed 6 and it was still spacious. We went to Florida two days out of our trip where we went deep sea fishing and spent the majority of the afternoon on the beach. We also went to orange beach in Alabama both of these were a close drive from the beach house. In Biloxi we took the kids to the trampoline house called Altitude and we let them burn off energy there. The kids museum Lynn meadows was nice to spend a few easy hours in as well. We also went to the ocean adventures marine park in gulfport to see the stingrays and dolphins. My son was chosen from the crowd to help with the dolphin show which made for a perfect day with him. We also rode jet skis in biloxi on the beach. We enjoyed our stay and we will deffinatly booo here again with our next trip to the gulf!

Very nice house, nice neighborhood.

Originally from Long Beach, been away for a while. Needed to visit and take care of some family business. Brought my son, daughter-in-law and grandkids. It was nice to have a comfortable home to stay at close to our family situation. The house was very clean, roomy, in a nice neighborhood, close to a playground and close to the beach. The grandkids loved going to the playground and walking to the beach. Definitely beats being in a hotel. Enjoyed driving along the beach and remembering years past. A must for my family was to visit Pirates Cove for poboys! Downtown Long Beach has some really nice shops. Thank you Harold and Claire for renting your lovely home and making this stay stress free and for all the information about local foods, events, etc. If your coming to the coast, you'll enjoy your stay here.

Perfect for our Cruisin the Coast stay. Plenty of room with big living/dining areas and nice back ya

The house was setup nicely and we felt right at home. The owners and manager were all very pleasant to deal with and went above and beyond to make sure we were fully informed before our stay. Me, my wife, our 9 month old baby boy, my buddy, his wife, and their 3 year old little girl had PLENTY of room. We had room for another small family and still would've all been comfortable. The Kingfish is situated a couple blocks off Hwy 90 and the beach and was pretty much halfway between Ocean Springs and Bay St. Louis which was awesome since we were running bank and forth to events and cruise ins during our stay. Loved it and we all plan on coming back next year.

Nice, clean & comfortable home.

We stayed at the Kingfish beach retreat for 3 nights with another family. It was the perfect size for us and had all the comforts of home. The area is nice and people are friendly. It's just a short walk to the beach which all the kids loved! We will definitely stay here again when in the area!

Spacious and comfortable.

We are frequent visitors to the Mississippi Gulf Coasts and are very familiar with the area. We enjoyed our stay except for the fact that there was no conventional bathtub. The kitchen was equipped well enough to do any cooking that we wanted. It was convenient that there were (3) working televisions in the house. There are many great restaurants in the area and we ran out of days before we could sample them all, but can easily recommend the Cajun Crawfish Shack, Steve's Marina, Aunt Jenny's Catfish in Ocean Springs and Trampini's in Bay St. Louis. (Not sure about that spelling) The fishing was not up to the usual coast standard of excellence, but we still had a great deal of fun trying. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone, provided you only want to take showers.
