Booked 2 nights for a "get-away". We should have expected it, but the smell of smoke was overwhelming in the hotel lobby. Apparently no smoking on that floor, but it was open to the casino floor below and smoke drifts upward. Our room on the 11th floor appeared ok when we got there, but we found that the plugs on one side of the bed did not work, the clock on the nightstand was wrong and could not be adjusted, only some of the TV remote buttons worked and the TV Guide didn't work, one light was out over the bathroom sink and it was dark, and there was no soap or shampoo in the shower dispensers. Parking below the hotel was very disorganized. Cars were parked everywhere and in all directions.
After the first night, we decided that we didn't want to stay at this facility (plenty of other casino hotels very nearby), so we went down and asked for early checkout and refund for the 2nd night. We told her of the issues found and she did offer to move us to another room, but at that point, we just wanted to leave. She offered no apology but just said that since it was purchased through Expedia, we had to get a refund from them.
I called Expedia and they requested this from the hotel and were also denied to give us a refund.
I called the hotel back again and got the same story from the person on the phone. No refund, period. I told them that I would be writing this review so hopefully no one would make the same mistake I did. She didn't care.
