Immediate ski in/out access to Big Sky Resort�s Natawista trail makes recreational access hard to beat at 38A Cowboy Heaven. Sitting atop the tree line of Big Sky Resort, the home is welcoming upon walking through the entryway and into the living space presenting decor that incites an antique Montana feel. The home�s extensive windows allow for the utmost enjoyment of unparalleled mountain scapes as family members and visitors gather around the home's central fireplace or dine together as the sun sets, setting the Spanish Peaks aglow. The open floor plan on the main level also includes a fully equipped kitchen, one secluded bedroom suite, and an elevated outdoor wrap-around balcony completed with a gas grill and jacuzzi hot tub where outdoor dining and relaxation meet star gazing. Taking the stairs up from the main level leads the way to a family-friendly bedroom loft with four bunk-style twin beds followed by an ensuite bathroom and features lounge chairs for picture-perfect bed-time story memories. Down the stairs to the lower level of the home, the laundry room, an additional en suite guest room and the master suite are strategically placed away from the common areas of the home. 5 Bandit Way�s charming master suite is complete with the master bathroom and spacious walk-in closet and additionally features a jetted tub, lounge chairs by the gas fireplace, and breath-taking views of Moonlight Basin. The lower level also features additional entertaining space, featuring satellite and cable TV, and walkout patio - all of which create space for memory-making with family and friends after clear skies on the mountain.

The Moonlight Lodging team strives to provide the highest quality service for guests staying in our rental program. With 24-hour onsite contact from our in-house property management team, maintenance, and housekeeping, we are prepared to ensure guests a vacation of a lifetime! Check-in to your vacation home with ease as the property manager personally conducts a brief home-orientation and assists with luggage, questions, etc. Ski stress-free directly in and out of your unit by utilizing our lift ticket and ski rental delivery system. Garbage pick-ups are also provided daily as-needed, and we additionally will stock groceries for arrivals upon request. Featuring Malin & Goetz toiletries, luxury linens and towels are flawlessly placed in each bedroom and bathroom. A coffee starter kit, salt/pepper, oil/vinegar, cleaning supplies (dish soap, dish detergent, paper towels, etc.) are additionally placed to make your stay as convenient and seamless as possible.

We had a great time in a fantastic house that couldnt be a better ski in ski out location. If we had to add one or two suggestions it would be to add somewhere to sit in the garage where we could put on our ski gear as the front foyer wasn't exactly large enough for us all. We could also have used a rack of some short to hold the towels outside by the hot tub. Other than that we couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. Thanks for making our stay an enjoyable one.

Great place and location
Place was great for our 2 families and location was perfect. Top bunks do not have side rails so it did not work for our younger kids but there were enough beds for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked and the ski in/out was very convenient. It was clean and we would definitely recommend.

Pre Christmas ski trip
This is a lovely home with some recent upgrades like new appliances and a nice hot tub. Sheets and towels are all high quality. Unfortunately, there was not enough snow just before Christmas to enjoy the ski in/ski out feature of the home. All the locals indicated that it is rare for there to be good snow before January. Just an FYI for anyone hoping to ski in/ski out in December. The kitchen had a nice supply of spices and cooking oil but could use a few more baking dishes and cooking utensils. This is definitely a 5 star property but the management company was a little challenging to work with. After accepting our reservation, the price was increased and we had to request numerous times that the price be adjusted to the correct price. Also, we were arriving after 5:00 so we had to request after hours check in. We had to ask three different times to be provided with a check in code.

Incredible Property! But...
The property itself was absolutely amazing - a TRUE ski in/out property that had plenty of room for the 8 of us (one couple had less privacy due to the loft) and could easily sleep 10 (four of which would be in the loft). The hot tub fit 6 comfortably and 8 cozily and was the perfect way to end a wonderful day of skiing. The garage was heated which was fantastic for thawing out your ski gear for the next day. Kitchen was stocked with all necessary cooking items and included the very basic ingredients (salt, pepper, olive oil, coffee, and some spices/flour/sugar that were leftover). We cooked most of our meals and didn't run into any problems (buy your groceries/ingredients in Bozeman!). The home was beautiful and well appointed, beds were very comfortable, everything felt quite clean, and the house instructions/guide even included a small gift basket upon arrival. Why four stars? We had a couple hiccups with the check-in that I think could be fixed with a little process improvement from the management. Also, the extra strict booking/cancellation policy had us sweating bullets in the months/weeks leading up to our vacation due to uncertainty with Covid. Lastly, I just didn't get a great feeling from the Moonlight Basin Rental Company. We had previously booked a place that "slept 8" but gave no details on bed situation. Turned out they counted the King as "sleeps 3" and had a sleeper sofa. Fortunately, we dug into this and were able to change our booking to this property instead, which was perfect for our group. A handful of other odd interactions just left us feeling like we didn't get a smooth enough experience (which we certainly expected for paying over $12,000). FYI: The listing details for rooms/beds is quite lacking, so I'll lay it out for those who are wondering: -Master Suite (basement w/ private bath): King Bed -Bedroom 1 (basement w/ private bath): Queen Bed -Bedroom 2 (main floor w/ hallway bath): Double Bed -Loft (upstairs w/ private bath): 2x Twin Bunk Beds (sleeps 4 total)

Beautiful listing, overwhelming property management
This property is managed by moonlight basin who seems to have profits in mind over experience. Although the place was wonderfully decorated and stocked, I would get several emails a week advertising their concierge service- at a price of $125/person per day. The lied about being able to have skis delivered to the property (you can) to try and force all 8 of us on the property to pay for the concierge service (you cannot pay for concierge for just one person-- everyone has to) They also had a last minute issue with the booking-- and the tried to downgrade us to a place with 1 less room for 8 people, and refused to give a discount. We finally got another same sized (but beautiful) place that was about a mile of catwalk skiing away-- whereas our last listing was right off the mountain, which they did not disclose. They also did not disclose that the new listing had room for only one car. They made us park our second car in a lot a mile away, where we were kicked out of the next day and had to park further away. Lastly, the instructions said to put our gear in the garage, but apparently the owners didn't want that. They entered the property twice without a confirmation that it was okay from us, and would call me 4-5 times in a row to try and get us to move the gear from the garage that they specifically told us to put our gear in, so they could lock it. Long story short, beautiful location, wonderful place to stay, but terrible management. It was more work going on this vacation that it was worth.

The Cowboy Heaven property had no heat so the management company moved us to a condo closer to the lodge at Saddle Ridge D1 - it actually turned out great. Moonlight is a nice area for ski in ski out and the property was very clean and well equipped for our group
