The outdoor space inspired our name, "BearView” as you gaze upon Bear Mountain. You, your small family and 4 legged friends (dogs only) can enjoy the gorgeous outdoors, charcoal BBQ, spa and small fenced area for convenience (Please note this is to secure your small dog while enjoying the outdoor space, but you may need to leash walk on site for your little one to relieve themself). A portable window unit A/C will help make your mountain stay more comfortable if needed, although Big Bear rarely exceeds 75º. Drift to sleep in a comfortable bed after a wonderful day on the slopes! The bedroom is outfitted with a new mattress, 100% cotton sheets, and down alternative pillows for your ultimate comfort. Enjoy the black out drapes while you sleep in on your vacation and a flat screen smart TV.

Get ready for a day on the slopes in the bright bathroom with refreshing shower (no tub The bathroom is stocked with plush towels and Bergman Kelly toiletries so you don’t need to worry about packing your own.

Prepare all your meals in the fully-equipped kitchen, which has all the cookware, dishes, and utensils you’ll need. You’ll find a waffle maker, kids’ plasticware, a Brita pitcher, and a selection of basic spices for your cooking needs. The Keurig coffee machine (starter coffee provided) and traditional drip coffee maker is the perfect way to start your morning and you can enjoy your coffee at the dining table or out on the porch while the rest of your group slowly wakes up.

The kitchen opens up to the dining area, which has a dining table with seating for three guests and receives plenty of natural light during the day. Get some work done at this functional space in between meals.

Relax in the thoughtfully designed lounge, which boasts a plush sofa with pull out sofa bed, a Smart TV, and a wood-burning fireplace, so you can warm up your toes after a day on Bear Mountain or Snow Summit. When you’re not watching TV, play some board games or try to finish a puzzle!

Finish your day off with a soak in the private hot tub. Spa towels are provided so you don’t need to worry about bringing your own. In the summer, enjoy reading a book in the outdoor seating area with the most exquisite view and surroundings. There is a small fenced area so your pet or children can hang out securely with you.

When you’re not playing games, roast marshmallows or grill up a tasty meal on the outdoor charcoal BBQ (charcoal not supplied) and enjoy it al fresco or bring it indoors to our dining area. In the Winter, you will love the mound of snow to build snowmen in or play while looking upon the slopes you intend to conquer!

The ski shuttle free parking stop is located a few short blocks away, so you can easily access Snow Summit and Bear Mountain.

Guest access
As a guest, you can enjoy access to the entire BearView Cottage including the private hot tub, fenced area, grill, high-speed wifi, 2 Smart TVs, and free parking in the driveway for one car. There are locked supply cabinets in the kitchen for storage and a shed in the rear that you won’t have access to.

No steep driveways. Flat and level parking.

Snow removal for driveway + path to front door arranged for guests during Winter when snow exceeds 4 inches. We can not guarantee the arrival time of the snow plow. Snow shovel available. Please note pathways can be icy, use caution.

Other details to note:

𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨 : Snow chains are required for all vehicles in the Winter. On occasion, during extreme weather, Big Bear can experience rolling power/internet outages. Rest assured, they will restore it as quickly as possible. I will keep you posted of any updates.

The furnace is in the living room and passes through a vent to the bedroom. There is a portable heater provided if needed for the bedroom, but you should get a very comfortable night's rest.

𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 : Portable A/C - this is a rare find in Big Bear and a welcome addition in the Summer. The split is only in the living room and kitchen as it cools down greatly at night. There is also circulating fans.

𝐃𝐨𝐠𝐬: We feel that our dogs are a part of our family and therefore do not charge an additional pet fee. Please be considerate and upfront if you feel your pet may not be suitable for our cabin. We have nice furnishings and would like to continue providing this level of accommodation for our families and pets alike. We appreciate all of our responsible pet owners. Rest assured, although we are pet friendly, maintaining the highest level of cleanliness is our priority.

This is the mountains, there is always the possibility of encountering wildlife or insects. Use precautions. Never leave pets or children unattended.

The spa and house are sanitized between each guest. If you see anything not up to standards, notify us immediately upon check in and we will send someone directly.

Please review and agree to House Rules prior to booking. A signed rental agreement and ID is required.

There is one motion activated security camera on premises at the exterior front door with no view of the spa or other areas. Your privacy is greatly respected and valued.
