Lake fun's just over the horizon! This classic lake home is all set for a family or small group that are eager to get to the lake. Relax on the deck, on the chairs or on the picnic table. Box fans are provided in every room for guest comfort. But for guest fun, a two-person kayak with assorted life jackets are also available. Who's ready to head out onto the water?

Set right next to the Betsie Valley trail, this home is just across the road from fun at Crystal Lake. In the nearby community, guests can enjoy a meal from local favorites like Ursa Major Bistro and L'Chayim Delicatessen (both within a half mile of the house). Golf courses abound in this area, the closest being Pinecroft Golf Course, (two miles away), Crystal Lake Golf (just over three miles away), and Champion Hill Golf Course (four miles away).

Great house and location

Loved this property because of its location right on Crystal Lake and the Betsie Valley Trail. We brought our own kayaks and boards and left them on the beach. Very safe area. The fenced yard was ideal for my daughterā€™s dogs. The house was comfortable and had so many extras -outdoor equipment, games, puzzles, even dog bowls. Wonderful place.

It smelled like dead fish and was severely outdated. Do not believe the other reviews that seem fake. The lak view is nice and yes, we could have dogs. That's the only positive thing. We stayed the year before at a place down the road for the same price WAY better. Stay there.

My partner and I stayed for the week of our wedding. The home is beautiful, we also loved the private beach and dock. There were a couple of hiccups when we arrived, but the host was super communicative and helpful! We'll definitely be back!

Excellent location, we had a great vacation! We are a family with 3 kids, we had so much fun, the house worked out well! We liked the multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. The washer and dryer were very useful. There were games and legos, that was a hit! We were able to cook and enjoy dining-in using the kitchen. Sitting on the covered deck and looking out at the lake was so awesome. The view from the bedroom was also! We really enjoyed our stay, there were just a few things that would have been nice to have: a larger bed in the main bedroom, several light camping chairs to take to the beach, a shelf to store groceries in the kitchen, and wi-fi. Trying not to work on vacation, but it is not always possible and wi-fi is very useful. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Dog approved!

This house was perfect for me. My dog and I spent one week there alone, and then two with family members who came and went. Itā€™s truly a wonderful location if you are looking for a base to explore dunes and hiking trails, all those sweet summer towns, Sleeping Bear, etc. We swam or paddle boarded every day in the shallow, clear (and relatively warm) Crystal Lake, to which we had our own private access with fire pit. My dog loved the fenced in yard, partly because the next door neighbors threw a ball for her in there. Downtown Beulah is within spitting distance and it has a wonderful brewery, bakery, library, etc. The house was quiet. I used the 20 mile bicycle path outside the house to do some long runs. I felt safe. The only reason I canā€™t give it the full 5 stars across the board is because it hasnā€™t been renovated in a very long time, which gave it a fun lake house vibe, but also made the price feel too steep. The lack of air conditioning was also a problem on the 90 degree days I was there. Plus the adult bed was really tiny and the pillows were terrible. But I would still highly recommend this house. I had the best time there!

Great Place to Stay!

This property was exactly what we were looking for. It is a short walk into Beulah to access restaurants, beach, and playground. The waterfront and dock were perfect for our 3 year old to swim and to dock our boat. The front porch was perfect for sitting and enjoying a view of the lake.

Quick trip up north

perfect location to travel around the west side of the state and sleeping bear dunes. Walking distance to downtown, comfortable, clean house with fenced front yard perfect for our puppy.
