Lakefront getaway near Sleeping Bear Dunes

Escape to Platte Lake Cottage, a charming lakefront retreat on Big Platte Lake in Beulah, Michigan. Located just 2 miles from Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and scenic M-22, this home offers the perfect mix of relaxation, outdoor adventure, and classic up-north charm.

Set on a small bluff with expansive views of crystal-clear Big Platte Lake, the cottage blends warm, rustic character with modern comfort. Spend your days paddleboarding, kayaking, relaxing on the covered patio, grilling dinner by the water, or gathering around the firepit at sunset. The property includes a private dock and a mooring buoy for storing a boat during your stay.

Inside, guests will find a fully stocked kitchen, smart TVs with Roku, high-speed internet, central air conditioning, books, board games, a washer and dryer, and two indoor gas fireplaces. Bed linens, bath towels, and kitchen towels are provided, along with a starter supply of basics for your arrival.

The cottage sleeps up to 8 guests and offers 2 parking spaces in front of the home, plus additional parking across the street. It’s an ideal home base for exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes, the Platte River, Platte Point Beach, Glen Arbor, Frankfort, Crystal Mountain, and the small-town charm of nearby Beulah.

Please note: no pets, no smoking, no parties or events, and quiet hours are 10pm–7am. The water near the end of the dock is shallow, so no jumping from the dock. Water shoes are recommended due to zebra mussels in the lake.
