Welcome to our place nestled in the country side. Where we hope you can spend your time relaxing, enjoying the scenery, and the abundance of wildlife. Wakeup to the sights and sounds of birds singing, sheep quietly grazing, Scottish Highland cattle calling and horses trotting on a quiet country morning. Expect to see deer grazing the property seemingly unaware of quite spectators as the sun starts to rise and burns off the morning dew. Our place is newly remodeled and ready for your stay. If you need additional space for large groups then look for our new property (Country's Edge #2 ) located directly next door to open spring 2020.

This place was on an amazing piece of property. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the countryside without being very far from all attractions (Ark Encounter & Cincinnati). Owners were awesome! Very friendly, great communication, took extra time to show the kids their horses and answer alllllll their questions. Ha!

Tranquil

The home was extremely clean and the yard beautiful. Watching the cows and sheep was a bonus. Not too far from town and the lightning bugs at night were phenomenal to watch. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Would highly recommend.

Perfect Location

My husband and husbandā€™s parents stayed in this cute house to go to the Ark Encounter. We loved the property! Enjoyed quiet evenings outside at the fire pit and enjoyed visiting the farm animals across the street. Great distance to the Ark. I had a few communications with the property owner, very quick responses and very nice. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. Iā€™d stay again! 10/10

Beautiful place to stay. Peaceful but not to far from amenities. Kids loved the friendly farm animals across the road. Everything worked and loved that the owners had salt and pepper and other kitchen basics. Loved the fire pit and first time two of the little ones made sā€™mores. I would come back in a heartbeat. Easy drive.

Short stay

I had a short stay in Kentucky and visited the Ark Encounter with my family. The house looked exactly like the pictures online. My family and I loved seeing the cows and donkeys in the field across from the residence. It was one of the best family vacations so far.

Ark Encounter visit

This property was a perfect in between place to stay while visiting the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. The hosts raise Scottish Highland cattle. We were able to book a last-minute encounter at their barn, which was a really fun addition to our itinerary.

Perfect Family Getaway

We were a group of 7 adults who stayed at Country's Edge for a trip to tour The Ark, Creation Museum, and Underground Railroad Freedom Center. This home provided the perfect setting for our "home base" during our trip and was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the beautiful scenery in the country and getting to meet the cows and donkeys in the pasture across the street. The host was quick to respond when we had questions and was very friendly. All in all, a wonderful getaway for our family.

Property was close to the Ark, but out in the country. Farther away from stores, restaurants, beautiful scenery, accommodations were good, very clean and neat. We had a great long weekend stay there.

Beautiful country setting.

We enjoyed both the location and the place. Nice view of sunsets and sunrises. Even had some sheep in the back yard. House was clean and well equipped. We read the entrance code wrong and texted the owner and he was there in less than 5 minutes. We highly recommend this place. Owners are very friendly.

Great accommodations for our family vacation

Great home, well kept, and perfect for our family vacation over spring break. It was extremely quiet! Lots of extras in the home to make it more comfortable. We spent time in Lexington, Cincinnati, creation museum, and ark encounter. This was a good central location. Black and white cat came and hung out one night. The kiddos loved that. One morning sheep were hanging out in the yard as well. Roads to the home were curvy for these straight road Midwesterners. But provided great views and scenery. Thank you so much for the ease of making this part of the trip go flawlessly.

There were six of us that stayed. The youngest was 12 and the oldest was 73. The property was as described. We lived the remoteness of it. It was so peaceful and quiet. It was a great time to connect as a family away from the ā€œbusyness ā€œ of city life.

On a mother daughter road trip, went to see the Ark. This home was nice to come back to and relax, we stayed 3 nights. Only thing was driving on country roads! Lol I'm a city girl and the roads were pretty stressful to me. This is no fault of the home owner, just me. Really nice home and very inspirational. Would definitely stay here again

Great Family Get A Way In The Country Near The Ark

My family and I enjoyed our stay very much. This house and property is wonderful, included lots of extras, and is very clean. My kids ages 2 to 8 all enjoyed this place including hearing and seeing the farm animals, and the outside fire pit. Close enough to the Ark (less than 20mins) but far enough way to be in the country. The owners are great and respond very quickly. I highly recommend making an appointment to visit their farm while you are there also especially if you have kids. They had something for every one of my kids.

Tranquility at its finest

Beautiful, quiet, relaxing. Not far from the Ark or The Creation Museum. We even made a trip for dinner to Cincinnati it was so close.
