Surrounded by Loire Valley vineyards. Quiet and tranquil surroundings for total relaxation and privacy. We are in a small Hamlet our nearest town is Montreuil Bellay 8km from here. We are 30km south of Saumur.
The barns sit in a courtyard looking out on to the gardens. Both barns have a terrace with garden furniture and sunshade and barbecue. The seating outside the large barn will seat 16 people. The swimming pool is fenced and locked to prevent children from accessing without and adult. The pool is open May to September and heated to a minimum of 25 degrees. There is plenty of poolside seating and umbrellas for shade. There is a large car park that accommodates 8 cars We can supply a paddling pool for infants. We have bicycles for adults and children free to use.
The property is made up of two converted barns adjacent to each other, set in gardens overlooking the swimming pool. The large barn has two floors and comprises of the following rooms: The ground floor is open plan with a living room with plenty of sofas, a flatscreen TV with built-in DVD, behind the lounge area is a large dining table that seats 10 to 12 people, that leads in to the kitchen, that is fully equipped with oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave,well-equipped with cooking utensils, coffee machine, kettle, and juicer. The kitchen also has a small table and chair. There is also a utility room with a toilet, a washing machine, a tumble dryer, clothes airer and high chair, Upstairs there is a kingsize ensuite room with shower, toilet and basin and a cot. The second bedroom is a kingsize bedroom, a third bedroom is a family room with a double bed and two single beds, and the fourth bedroom is a twin room with two single beds. This floor has a family bathroom with a bathtub, shower over the bath, toilet and basin. We do not supply bedding for the cots. The bedrooms all have air-conditioning and heating. The second barn is 11th century and comprises of high vaulted ceilings, this barn is all on the ground floor and has wide doors and corridor. This barn has an open plan, kitchen, living and dining area. The kitchen has an oven, microwave, fridge freezer, washer dryer, fully equipped kitchen, coffee machine, toaster, and kettle. The utility room has an airer, iron, ironing board and high chair. The dining table seats 4 people. The lounge has TV, DVD player, large sofa and chair and a sofa bed that sleeps 2. The bedrooms comprise of a large high ceiling kingsize room with a baby cot and a twin room. All bedrooms have high-quality linen and towels, a hairdryer, dressing table, chest of drawers and wardrobe. We also supply pool towels and wraps for the cooler evenings. There is a blue tooth speaker in each barn you can use both indoors and outdoors.
The nearest town with its restaurants and supermarkets is approximately 8km away. There are some fabulous places to explore, Thoaurs Saumur, Chinon, and Angers. We can recommend fantastic chateaux and other attractions to visit. Center Parcs is about 8km away and you can book advance day tickets. The highlight is the great array of vineyards locally and we can arrange tastings and transport to them.
Please note that the holiday home is in a very rural area. Some bicycles 2 which are children's will be at your disposal, free of charge. Furthermore, there is a cot for small children in both holiday homes. There is a well-stocked bar on the site open at guests request. This is not licenced and works on an honesty box basis, equipped to play music from your favourite playlist. On arrival, you will find tea, coffee, milk and water to get you started, and a complimentary bottle of wine. We can offer a pre-arrival shop, breakfast and dinner for additional charges, and we also offer lift service to local restaurants at a small charge.
