Wish the stay had been longer

We rented this property for out of state guests. They had so much fun there. The house is cute, the furnishings were amazing and the hosts were very accommodating and friendly. We couldn't have picked a better place. We will be back!

Bohemian Paradise

This was such a fun place to stay at, with settings all around the property to hangout. The patio area was especially great with various seating areas to enjoy outside. It would be ideal for a summer party place. The family enjoyed it!

A wonderful paradise!

I was greeted by the owners who were gracious and kind. Each piece of furniture in this house has a story, creating a comfortable and warm atmosphere. You are within walking distance of the marina and beautiful Benicia with several cute restaurants, pubs, and cafes to sample. The kitchen is fully equipped and they even supply goodies to make smores. Thank you for this wonderful weekend getaway!

Amazing place -amazing hosts

Ruby and Rob are excellent hosts. They are there if you need them, but they provide privacy during your stay. Benicia First Street is a nice place with plentiful shops for tourists, and fairly walkable (from this property) if you don't have a car.

Great stay for our girl's trip!

We loved our stay here! The hosts are super friendly with the most creative interior design touches, making this an unforgettable stay! The house was very cozy, clean, and had beyond everything we needed. It was a simple drive to Napa Valley and other surrounding towns & attractions. The wifi in the house didn't work so well, so we didn't have as much phone service as we thought (probably for the best) but everything else was perfect! I'd recommend this place to anyone. We were a group of 3 girls, but could have comfortably fit 1 or 2 more. We hope to be back!!

Northern California Eclectic

Just touring this house is worth the rental price. The owners have put so much care and artistry into the house that staying here is a destination in itself. And the owners themselves are delightful, welcoming, and very friendly and helpful. Really, it is a challenge to leave the house, and I would come here just to unplug. Tons of food prep supplies, great water pressure, even a good supply of ingredients are on hand. Multiple coffee makers, two blenders, lots of interesting glassware. We made several meals and perhaps too many cocktails. We checked in on Saturday and visited a farmerā€™s market in neighboring Martinez on Sunday morning and we were set for meals all week. There was really no reason to leave lovely Benicia, but we were originally staying here as a home base to explore northern Cali, and we did. Napa, Sonoma, San Francisco, Muir Woods, all within easy reach. Finally, the beds are amazing. Mary, who judges every rental by the mediocre quality of the mattresses, rated this mattress second only to the one we have at home. We slept amazingly well and I even think my back felt better as the week went on. Also, very quiet neighborhood and friendly neighbors. It was a truly recuperative experience. Also, donā€™t miss Bella Siena, One House Bakery, States Coffee, Drift, and Juice House. So many great experiences within walking distance.

Gorgeous, clean, and unique home with amazing hosts!

This property is nothing short of spectacular, and it looks great in photos, but even better in person. The attention to detail and cleanliness was beyond, and the hosts were beyond hospitable. I was staying here for my wedding as a getting ready location with my bridesmaids, and they set up banners, champagne and glasses for all of us. We had everything we needed and more for 6 of us!

Fabulous place, can't wait to come back again

Amazing hosts, so very kind and generous to make a cake, provide beautiful flowers and a balloon for my mother's 92nd birthday...but it was so much more than that...we arrived late after a very long drive yet Ruby & Rob still made the effort to come to meet us. They truly went 'above and beyond' to make us feel welcome and to be there with advice, recommendations and whatever we needed. Huge thanks and I hope we will be able to visit again soon.
