BELMONTE HELENA HOUSE

A beautiful and cozy renovated wood-and-stone house at the entrance to the Somiedo Natural Park, with views of the mountains and the valley, secluded above the town of Belmonte de Miranda, 56 km from Oviedo. Fully equipped and furnished. Wheelchair accessible on the first floor with an adjustable bed and a motorized recliner.
The house is in the mountains, just 1 km from Belmonte, but the drive up is quite steep. In Belmonte, you can enjoy good food at reasonable prices
I recommend doing your big grocery shopping beforehand because, as is usually the case, the two supermarkets in town are more expensive.
If you’d like to go to the beach one day, Playa del Aguilar is a half-hour away in Muros de Nalón, heading toward Pravia. Be careful and check the tide schedule online before you go.
You can eat in Cudillero, a very picturesque little town!
A nice route to take is the one that goes from Llamardal to Las Brañas. At the information kiosk in Belmonte, they can give you some brochures or even tell you about guides if you need them; I think the hours are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
