"Instead of staying at a hotel for a wedding in Garden City, we stayed at Deirdre's place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I'm happy we got to walk the entire 2.3 mile boardwalk on Friday (4.6 miles in total), ride the entire boardwalk on Saturday morning with bikes provided before the wedding then spend a few hours at the beach on Sunday. "The house was clean. Communication with management company was subpar. We got scripted responses to all questions, and false information. For example, we asked if hot tub was working and was told it was. When we arrived, the hot tub was broken and dirty. Also, check-out is at 10am and there is nowhere to leave belongings if you’d like to stay in FI for the day. They should allow a place to keep luggage prior to departure. Overall, great and clean house and amazing location!"

The setting on the water was so peaceful and private, yet easy access for those of us traveling by public transportation from Manhattan and La Guardia airport. "We very much enjoyed our stay at this Bay Shore, NY accommodation. It's nicer than the photo, which really doesn't do it justice. It's spacious, very clean, thoughtfully and carefully planned and provisioned. Augusto is an excellent host. Communications with him were always clear, timely and pleasant. "Never again! It’s a dirty place in a terrible neighborhood! They have no phone in the room! I asked TWICE for extra pillows and was told it’s coming up both times and they never did! The linens were old and had holes in them! One of the bath towel which was folded on top of the railing was dirty and seemed used! A had to dry myself using the hand towels! Oh and the remote control had a melted battery in it for which I had to go downstairs AGAIN and you guessed it! Never got a new one! A terrible experience, but I want to tell all my hotels.com users to delete this one from the list! Not worth the aggregation and possible tick bites that I feel on my legs!"
