Wonderful house and host

If you want quiet and beauty, this is the place to go. We were a group of 8 senior citizens. We had a medical issue and the host was so accommodating. Highly recommend Forest Haven. 10 out of 10!!

Property was clean and had all the things needed for a nice week with our family of 9. Communications with Rupa was as good as it gets. Love the nature around the home. Had multiple times deer were with in 50 feet of the back deck.

Serene, clean, and comfortable!

Amazing property in a secluded feeling area while still being a reasonable drive to downtown Bellingham and a short drive to beautiful Whatcom Falls. The house was immaculate, the beds were very comfortable, good cooking supplies, even the toilet paper was high quality! Communication from the hosts was very good and they accommodated a special request we had. Would absolutely recommend and stay here again!

Beautiful clean home that feels like you are in the woods

Very clean home with good room for our family. We had 10 members in our party and there was plenty of room for all of us. Open concept allowed plenty of room to congregate around the kitchen and dining area. Would recommend.

Amazing Amazing Amazing!

This house was everything the pictures showed but even better!!!! The house was super clean with cozy beds, great showers and plenty of space to unpack! The kitchen was well stocked with a huge table for everyone to sit around. The hosts also provided so many little touches like good toilet paper, cold water in the fridge upon arrival and a goodie basket with treats and wine. The location is close enough to town but far enough to feel like you are in a remote cabin. The hosts are very responsive if you have questions and so helpful! We canā€™t wait to come back to town to stay at this home again!

This was a warm and very inviting place with exquisite facilities, kitchen, and patio. The no pet policy was appreciated as well, since we have allergies too. Rupa and Ashok were clear and cordial all the way throughout our visit, and we would not hesitate to book again for another stay!

Property was very clean and well stocked. Communication with the owners was very easy. The house was beautiful and outside space was very relaxing. House is approximately 20 minutes from Bellingham and 90 minutes from North Cascades National Park. Owners provide maps of the area which was very helpful.

Great family home

We loved staying at this property! It is extremely clean and well apportioned. The driveway is quite steep and a bit hard to navigate going downhill, but the home is lovely and gives you the feel for Sudden Valley. We would definitely stay there again!

Modern Retreat in the Woods

If you are looking for a quiet retreat in the woods but with all the modern conveniences, this home is perfect for you. Lovely, well-appointed, but comfortable. Located in a developed community so there are neighbors close by, but the surrounding homes are not intrusive to your experience. Kitchen is fairly well supplied, we were able to cook full meals. Stores are 20-min drive. We would definitely stay here again.

Cozy house for a getaway with friends

This house is located in a very quiet neighborhood with incredible views from every window of the trees. Directions to the house were easy and clear and we were delighted upon arriving to see a welcome card and bottle of wine from the owners! The house is very modern and very clean. It is fully stocked with everything you might need for your stay. The kitchen is huge, gorgeous and had everything we needed to cook amazing meals. The rain showers are amazing and the bathtub is very roomy and deep, perfect for a bubble bath. The location is great. We felt very secluded but also very close to several lakes, the ocean, and downtown Bellingham. I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful house that you can tell the owners take very good care of and put a lot of love into:)

This is a great property in Sudden Valley. Itā€™s located in a quiet neighborhood with a large deck in a very private backyard. The property is very well maintained and well equipped. A great location with lots of nearby trails and easy access to Bellingham.

Restful stay in the woods

We really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was a pleasure to cook in. The home was beautifully decorated and felt very welcoming. Upstairs stayed nice and quiet during downstairs activity (important for us with a napping toddler). The back deck was a lovely place to spend time. The one thing that was less than perfect was the lack of fans/a/c - there were two old column fans upstairs but no other way to cool the house. Luckily the house is surrounded by trees so it didnā€™t get too hot, but some airflow wouldā€™ve made it more comfortable for a summer stay.

Beautiful forested home near everything

My wife and I stayed a week in the summer of 2023. The house was lovely, decorated beautifully and so clean. The backyard is a shady forest on a small mountain minutes to Whatcom lake by car and 15 minutes to Bellingham grocery stores, restaurants, and parks. (The resort of Sudden Valley is even closer!) The location feels remote but is really in the middle of it all with easy access to city, coast, & mountains. The one issue was the amount of daily dog whining from poor pinned-up-all-day dogs just steps away at two houses this rental property shares a driveway with in the front yard. The hosts were great as we shared this concern with them. Beautiful, well-shaded neighborhood in the forest!

Lots of peace and quiet

We were looking for a place near Bellingham that would serve as a home base while we were celebrating a graduation from WWU and this place did not disappoint. It's about 20-minutes from downtown Bellingham and the WWU campus but it feels like it's a million miles because it's so peaceful. The house is clean, bathrooms are all updated, and the kitchen is fully stocked. The beds are so comfortable and there was plenty of room for folks to gather and also to retreat. The owners were some of the best hosts I've ever had through VRBO...their response times to our questions was lightening fast. If only my son hadn't graduated....we'd love to come back!

Get away with friends

We truly enjoyed staying in this house! It felt like we were secluded while not being at the same time. The owners were very supportive and communicated about everything that we needed to know very quickly. Plus all the little things about the house made it great. Nice pots, pans, dishes, etc. All around great place to stay.
