Renato, Fica numa parte historica e nao ha nada em ingles. As ruas sao becos, muito difíceis de andar, e assustador a primeira vista a noite. No seu primeiro dia, chegue pela manhã.

A nice staff
The staff of the hotel is very helpful, very nice young people despite of some difficulties with english they allways tried to do the best. But, some of them are speaking english very well so they become very important for comunication like FENG YAN, MICHAEL and FELIX. They are very lovely people. I want to make a suggestion to the Hotel: Because of the location (futong) is very difficult to find the eddress and to get there and many taxi drivers do not want to drive there. So the hotel should have a car or even a van to work exclusively for the hotel charging by the service and so and extra money for the hotel. Solving this problem the hotel will be complete and wonderful.

Bom hotel
Hotel fica em uma rua estreita que assusta na chegada. Mas é super seguro até de noite. Uns 800m do metro. Equipe bem atenciosa. Apartamento limpo. Não tem frigobar. Suíte standard muito pequena, só cabe a cama. Prefira a suíte deluxe que tem um bom espaço. Café da manhã fraco com poucas opções. Jantar foi bom.

Good hotel for the price. Easy access to subway (5 min walk) and to yuyu garden (10 min walk). The room was confortable and clean. Good breakfast.

Melhor hotel turístico que já conheci.
O hotel é absolutamente PERFEITO para todo e qualquer turista que vai a Beijing buscando conhecer e vivenciar um pouco mais da cultura local. Não existem palavras no dicionário para descrever o quão perfeito é o hotel se esse for o principal objetivo da sua viagem. Mas vale salientar que, se você é o turista que gosta de conforto acima de tudo, é provável que existam escolhas melhores. O hotel fica no meio de um Hutong (algo que eu achei fantástico, mas consigo imaginar que algumas pessoas não compartilhem da mesma opinião), e o acesso por carro pode ser complicado.

OK but not for business men
I think this is a hotel for people traveling for tourism. The hotel is different and nice to stay with your girlfriend or wife.. in this case my review would be 4,5.. but for business men there is no space into the room to work (no table, no chair), the internet is bad and sometimes do not work and the hotel people speak english so bad (but this is a problem in lot places in China)

Awesome Shichachai Shadow Art Performance Hotel
A perfect little gem of a hotel right in the centre of the hutongs. Very clean and welcoming with superb service from their staff (who speak English). The hotel is like a little museum to Chinese shadow art with so much information, examples and a library. An added bonus was the actual shadow art performance and demonstration by the puppeteer.

Loved the ambience
We absolutely loved the ambience, decoration and the overall vibe of the hotel. The shadow art theme is all over the lobby, main area and in each room and are all done very well, the shadow puppet play was lovely and the staff very helpful and attentive. Rooms are a bit on the small side but this was more than clear when we made our booking so it was not an issue at all. The location is in the Hutong, but it is easily accessible and less than a 10 minute walk to the lakes or the subway station. The information we received before arrival, the notes from the staff at the reception and in our room were very well prepared and would be very helpful to those traveling to Beijing for the first time.

We had the misfortune to arrive in Beijing during the coronavirus outbreak and the staff could not have been more helpful. They allowed us to cancel without charges. The hotel is situated in the historic hutongs and beautifully decorated in traditional style. We were so sorry we could not stay longer.

My stay here was amazing, the hotel is a wonderful architecture of old Chinese culture and the art puppet show was incredible. Food is delicious and very friendly and helpful staff, clean room. If and when I’m going back to Beijing. I’m definitely staying there again

Good sized room, bed and bathroom, in a hotel which is positioned within the hutong’s. Walking distance to plenty of places to eat and drink, with Houhai Park having a good selection of bars and public transport about 10 minutes walk away. Small but satisfying selection for breakfast, but much of it was not hot. Overall not bad.

Very inconvenient location and most of the taxi driver are unwilling to enter to the small alley! Bad house keeping , didn’t even bother to clean up the messed table and replenishing the used toiletries.. anyway this is the last time stay here! Bad experience.

Our hotel is located in the Hutong area, so our foreign guests could truly experience the life of local people. Although the Hutong is very narrow, taxis can reach the door of the hotel. The hotel receptionists call taxies every day for our guests. Besides, our housekeepers will clean the room and replenish the toiletries every day. Me encanto la estadia
El hotel es tranquilo y la comida es buena! La localidad es un poco difisil para los taxistas, pero lo encuentran. Nos encanto el poppet show que el hotel tiene y las actividades del hotel son muy buenas. Se puede también conseguir tours desde el hotel a buen precio.

This place has shadow art shows on Tu, Thur, and Sat. The staff is really nice and helpful, for example, David is one of the staff who helped me a lot. Definitely recommend this place if you want to experience Beijing culture.

This is a great little hotel! While it is a decent walk from the metro, it offers everything you need. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good, the rooms were clean, and the atmosphere was quaint. It felt like home! I would definitely stay here again.

A delightful cultural experience
A delightful experience. Not only is the Puppet show professional, but you are surrounded by the Hutongs at this hotel. The rooms are clean and neat and best of all, the staff is so kind and helpful. I would stay there again. Be sure to take a pedi ride around the lake.

特色酒店 但交通頗為不便
酒店由四合院改建，以皮影戲作為主題，充滿了傳統文化色彩。不論是大廳、房間、還是房門牌，也是以皮影戲為設計。而且，逢二、四、六晚上還有皮影戲表演，也有皮影偶的工作坊，可供客人參加。服務員態度和藹，而且英語能力高，很樂意為客人介紹附近的景點和交通。若果打算到后海，又或者感受老北京胡同氣息的話，這酒店便是一個不錯選擇，因為步行不到十分鐘便到達后海，而酒店正正身處胡同之內。可是，也因處於胡同，令交通甚為不便。因為即使打車，不少時候司機也得花了不少時間才能走出狹窄而又多車的胡同。另外，也有司機不願駛進胡同內裡。再加上，酒店位於西城區，到王府井、朝陽區和三里屯等地方，不塞車的話，至少花上20分鐘車程，步行的話要1小時以上。所以，若然是「閒遊」北京，這裡是挺不錯的選擇，否則便要考慮交通情況。最後，由於酒店房間相當有限，只有約10間房間，所以不設"late check out"
單人房的浴室沒有浴缸，2樓的有數間雙人房則有設置
單人房大床由兩張大床合拼，舒適度普通，而且只有窗架沒有窗，有侷促的感覺
酒店大廳具特色，而且光線充足
酒店內放置了很多皮影戲擺設

I was first reluctant to stay in a hotel in this area...the hutongs...but the hutongs ended up being my favorite area in all of Beijing and this hotel is right in the middle of the hutongs and very near Houhai Lake. Houhai Lake is possibly the neatest area in all of Beijing. So...location of the hotel is an A The room itself was great. Clean, comfortable, and small enough to be personable. Overall great place and very professional. So...cleanliness of the room and comfort of the room is an A Amenities of the hotel were great. Free water, coffee, tea in the room and often outside in the lobby. Free breakfast that is very good. Free shadow puppet show, which is amazing and I am shocked that it is free. You get to see two shows and you can talk to the puppeteers after and see how it is done. So...amenities gets an A Staff is by far the greatest part of this hotel. The staff holds the place together. They are so nice and so helpful. They can speak english for the most part and the few that cannot have translator apps. They will call taxis, answer messages for excursions and help you in any way they can. Shout out to ELEANOR! This girl was amazing. She helped us throughout our stay...weighs about 80 pounds and refused to allow me to carry my own bags. She wanted to carry them. I have traveled to many places and stayed at many hotels, and this was the best...especially Eleanor. Staff is A Overall A

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! The location is wonderful, just a short walk from a subway line making it a great place to call home while exploring Beijing. The rooms are comfortable and have all the amenities you need. The shadow box performance is such a great thing to experience and the staff go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay. I would absolutely recommend this hotel if you are staying in Beijing!

飯店裡環境很不錯，但缺點就是從北海北地鐵站走到飯店的路途有點遠，約要走上8~10分鐘，推著行李箱走在鋪設連鎖磚的人行道上會比較辛苦，房間裡沒有冰箱的設備，接近0度的冬天還可以，夏天買回來的食品飲料會不太好存放，但居住環境不錯且離恭王府很近，有機會還是推薦去居住！

The building and decor were very nice. Room and bathroom were good. Hotel is well situated for walking out to the Hiuhai and Beihai Park lakes. We also walked to the Forbidden city which is close (as Beijing distances go) but seemed quite a long way!

Great location in the old town area. Helpful staff, good breakfast. Booked Great Wall tour through the hotel, which worked well.

Our hotel is located in the Hutong area of the old town, where the guests could feel and experience the Hutong Culture of old Beijing. Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday night, the hotel provides shadow puppet performance. Besides, we also have dumpling making class and shadow puppet painting class every day for guests to experience. Thank you again for choosing our hotel. Pretty good
The staff is professional and welcoming, the breakfast is great with many options. The bed, though, was very firm, and the wooden floor extremely noisy. Behind the window (literally) was a wall, and no plugs next to the bed for phones or anything. really. During my 4 days stay, the lobby was occupied for two mornings for other activities the hotel sells online (like pairing for kids), which means no lobby for us.There is a nice lake a few minutes away, great for walks. The subway station is 15/20 minutes walk away.
