Wonderful!
We loved our stay in Begur! Nicole and Roger were so easy to deal with and the property was just as advertised. We felt at home the moment we arrived! And Begur was just charming. We would go back! The wifi was very slow but we had downloaded some movies so it was fine. Thanks, Roger and Nicole!

Location impeccable, accueil sympathique
La maison est conforme à la description, tres propre et confortable, l'endroit est tres agreable, malgre un chemin d'accès un peu escarpé pour une grosse voiture (on monte la route en 2nde). L'environnement est superbe, très bucolique tout en étant proche du village ou de la mer. Équipement complet et en bon état. Le propriétaire est accueillant, disponible, repondant à nos demandes tout en restant discret. Excellentes vacances.

Great calm place with sea view
We had two weeks of great relaxation with everything needed at The Annex. Roger was very friendly but discrete at the same time Walking to the beaches can be exhausting but the trails are very beautiful as well. Big recommendation for two persons who are looking for a calm and beautiful place!

We had a great stay!
The Annex was lovely, very well set out and equipped. We had everything we needed from the moment we arrived, including a lovely bottle of bubbly chilled in the fridge. Roger was kind and helpful and once we got the hang of the steep drive and the lay of the local winding roads, we truly enjoyed the Annex and Begur itself. Lovely!

Exceptional Begur House with Great Hosts!
Ideal lodgings for exploring Begur and the Costa Brava. The house has stunning views of Begur, the castle, and sea. It's located in a quiet area, comfortably furnished, well provisioned, and impeccably maintained. A short walk will take you to a nice grocery store, great restaurants, interesting shopping, and a farmer's market on Wednesdays. Nearby you'll find exquisite beaches and a peak with stunning 270 degree views encompassing the Emporda, Pyrenees, and sea. The hosts are gracious and responsive. Staying here was a wonderful experience. Thank you, Roger and Nikki, for your hospitality!

Homely
We had a lovely 9 nights in this comfortable and spacious bungalow. We especially loved the light filled rooms and the views all around. The house is situated up the hill and the walk into the town centre takes about 8 minutes. Longer on the way back and involves steps and steep hills, so you need to be relatively fit! The property has a cosy, homely feel and seems much more spacious in reality than in the photos. As well as the lovely view over the garden, the other side of the bungalow has windows along its entire length which makes for light filled rooms and also gives an expansive view of the coastline and glimpses of the castle through the trees. The English host, Roger, is very friendly and welcoming and on hand if you need anything. His daughter, Nikki, manages the booking from the UK and is very responsive so communication was very good. We were there in March and the weather, though good, was coolish and of course it goes dark earlier. There is central heating in the bungalow which works very well in the evenings to take the chill off when needed. It heated up very quickly. A TV is not usually important on this kind of holiday, but in the winter season it would be a bonus if there was a more modern set with streaming options. We had anticipated this and so we downloaded films at home before we left and then connected our laptop to the TV with our own HDMI cable. The WiFi had quite a weak signal, although Roger has been trying to improve this. Some of the other equipment is a bit old and is probably ready for updating and the crockery is a bit mismatched but it all worked. The bungalow is well placed to visit the nearby beaches and beautiful coves and the inland medieval towns are close by and shouldn't be missed. All in all we had a really good stay in the Annexe.

Home from home in a beautiful location
The best thing about this place is how homely and comfortable it is, with kind, entertaining hosts Roger and Nikki. It was great being able to walk 10 mins into Begur for a meal or some shopping (though steep hill on the way back). Beaches are accessible by hourly tourist buses in peak season and beach parking is reasonably easy off-season apparently. Within car or bus journey from pleasant towns, Roman ruins, boat cruises etc. Lots of info at the property on walking & cycling in the area. The hosts made us feel really welcome and relaxed. We would love to visit again!

Amazing views
Nikki was really responsive to all my emails. Her father Roger that lives on the property was the best host one can ask for. The garden is amazing, and so are the views. The sheets in my bedroom were the best ever. There was soap, towels, and bath robes included with the cost of the rental. Great property.

annexe visit
The property beautifully clean and very comfortable and totally suitable for two people and all on one level. excellent views. The host Roger was very helpful and welcoming. Our one disappointment was the fact that there was no working TV , and if TV is working there are only spanish channels. The use of a TV is very useful if you are disabled and cannot go out sometimes it would be a good source of entertainment if there were some uk channels.

Propriété au calme
Nous avons passé seulement 4 jours dans ce petit havre de paix ! L'arrivée dans la propriété est un peu difficile : le chemin est très étroit et descend un peu. Mais avec un 3008 nous sommes bien arrivés - ça "bipait" a gauche, à droite !!! Une belle vue sur la mer

Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour à Begur dans cette jolie petite maison. Tout d’abord, le propriétaire est très accueillant et prêt à donner les conseils utiles pour visiter la région. La maison est très calme ( zone résidentielle au dessus du village), est très confortable, a tous les équipements souhaités, et une très belle vue ! On peut rejoindre le village à pied sans problème (juste remontée un peu raide au retour). La région regorge de balades à faire, et villes et villages à visiter. On recommande 100% . En tous cas , pour nous c’était parfait !

Quelques difficultés pour localiser le logement

Wunderschöne und ruhige Lage
Wir waren insgesamt eine Woche bei Roger und haben es sehr genossen! Man hat eine traumhafte Aussicht, ist sofort im Zentrum von Begur und hat zahlreiche Strände und Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe. Es war ein traumhaft schöner und vor allem sehr erholsamer Urlaub!

tolle Lage mit Einschränkung
Wir können die positiven Aussagen der anderen Gäste bestätigen! Allerdings startete am 16.9.19 eine typisch spanische Großbaustelle in 150m Entfernung vom Haus. Es war sehr laut und es gab Abgasgeruch von 3 Dieselmotoren tagsüber wochentags sodaß ein Aufenthalt am Haus nicht angenehm war.In der Nachbarschaft befinden sich noch viele unbebaute Grundstücke.... Das Bett ist ideal für Liebhaber harter Matratzen.Die Sitzmöbel bieten trotz ihres Alters noch etwas Komfort.Mücken gab es keine , jedoch einige Ameisen.

Super séjour à begur
Location de l'annexe très propre et tranquille belle région. Roger le propriétaire est present sur place mais d une grande discrétion et très sympathique.Le prix de la location correcte. Par contre nous avons regarder pour éventuellement louer pour juillet 2020 les prix ont très très bien augmenté ça va être un frein pour louer Christian et Brigitte

Petite maison très confortable..
Petite maison très fonctionnelle, bien équipée, très bien entretenue. On est comme à la maison. La vue sur le village de Bégur et de la mer est très reposante. Le jardin est très garni et très bien aménagé. Nous sommes très contents de notre séjour...

Un havre de paix avec une vue magnifique
Accueil parfait de Roger (chaleureux, disponible et arrangeant). Quartier hyper calme, l'annexe a une façade au sud sur la terrasse ensoleillée avec vue sur le jardin et de l'autre côté une façade nord ouverte sur une série de fenêtres en enfilade avec une vue magnifique sur la mer et le village de Begur. L'appartement est très lumineux, bien agencé, très confortable et équipé de tout ce dont on peut avoir besoin (gel douche, serviettes en papier, produits d'entretien, huile, sel etc.... glacière, serviettes de plage...) ce qui est très appréciable. L'accès se fait par un chemin vraiment très pentu, pas complètement évident de remonter la pente en voiture mais avec un peu d'habitude on y arrive (il faut prendre un peu d'élan).

Net als vorig jaar hebben we een heerljjke tijd gehad in the Annex.Het huis is compleet, niks ontbreekt..Het uitzicht aan de ene kant en de tuin met het terras aan de andere kant van het huis zijn fantastisch! Roger is een goede gastheer en daarbij heeft hij ons heerlijke tomaatjes gebracht uit eigen tuin. Begur is via de trappen 10 minuten naar beneden lopen en dat is fijn als je een hapje wil eten in het dorp.

Calm and relaxing environement
We enjoyed two very relaxing weeks in this location with its amazing garden. Roger was all the time helpful and he knows all the beautiful locations and beaches. The house is very well equipped and clean, with a beautiful view either in the garden or on opposite site to the sea. It takes you just a couple of minutes downtown and some minutes longer to climb back the hill. We definitely plan to come back at another time. Jörg und Sieglinde

Property was excellent
We really enjoyed our stay at the Annex. Begur and the Costa brava are very pretty, with the coves and small resorts, not to mention the food. We also visited Cadaques, where we had camped in 1977, can remember some of it but it had obviously changed a lot. The bungalow, garden and views, were exceptional but the drive is a bit steep, even so I managed it ok, even with hand controls. There were many extras to what we normally get, including a bottle of bubbly and it was the first time we have not had to clean before leaving, which is a great bonus. I managed ok being disabled, but there are a few things that we had a bit of difficulty with. Outside it was difficult to get from the car to the bungalow in the loose gravel. We just managed in my wheelchair, but my scooter which is normally ok in firm gravel, just got stuck. A small path to where one got out of the car would suffice. I also found it a bit difficult with my frame on the patio, due to its unusual slope. Inside was great apart from a couple of things in the bathroom. I found the shower too difficult to use, due to having to step over the frame at the front and being a small area. The alternative of washing at the washbasin was also awkward as I couldn't get my knees under the front, when sitting in my wheelchair. A pull down rail to the opposite side of the toilet to the wall would also help, although I did manage with the wall rail. It would all depend how much you are disabled. However we really enjoyed the stay and as I say there is always a way [well nearly always] and if I had known about the problems I may not have come and missed out on a lovely holiday.

Lovely bolthole for 2 located above Begur
We stayed for 4 nights in early October and enjoyed good weather. Booking and communications were easy/clear with Nicola looking after all the admin. Roger is on hand next door and was very helpful with advice about the area; he is not intrusive and we felt very relaxed there. The Annex is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The bungalow is very clean and well prepared; plenty of towels (including beach towels) and toiletries. The area is very quiet and peaceful. We have no hesitation in recommending the Annex as a base for touring the local coves, Cap Roig and Figueres (Dali Museum). There is an excellent choice of restaurants in Begur, though if walking, the return journey involves a steep climb. The local roads (even into the local coves) are surprisingly good. We had no problems with parking at this time of year, though it can be a different story in peak season. Thankyou Roger for your hospitality and Nicola for effective communications David & Kim

Everything you need!
We spend a week in this nice and comfortable house with sea view. It offers everything you need. Roger was very helpfull but he also respected our privacy. The only 'difficult' thing in my opinion is the steep access road, but then again: you can also park your car in the street just down the house. We visited little ancient villages (Pals, Peratallada...), we walked a few coastal paths and spend a whole day on 'Cap de Creus', a beautiful natural park. There is more to see in this region, I know... We'll have to come back!
