"The actual property is great, located down a quiet laneway. Unfortunately, we came when it was around 30 degrees C. Sleeping upstairs only exacerbated the issue. We stayed 3 nights, unfortunately again there was a party not far away with amplified band and singer (not very good) on our last night which droned on till midnight. The property is very good, although I’m 193 cm and had to constantly duck my head when going into the kitchen/meals area. Well presented, well stocked."

"I would 100% recommend a stay here. The hosts were exceptional with their contact throughout right from when we made the booking. They could not have been more helpful and always responded very promptly and helped with recommending a local pub which was really nice. The accommodation was lovely and the garden area was beautiful and the hot tub temperature was perfect. We would definitely stay here again."

"It started badly when, upon entering the room, there was a smell of cigarette smoke. Clearly, the room should have been decommissioned until it could be properly cleaned and fumigated. As the property operates on an automated basis (the key is retrieved from a key safe with a code supplied by email), there was no receptionist on duty. "We love the cottage, and I love the swimming pool. There were one or two glitches with the system during our stay (hot water problem) but I think they were dealt with quite promptly. I did find I received rather too many emails for my liking….no need to remind me about rubbish disposal so many times, thank you! But we would happily come back to Cranmer Cottages again"

"Staying in woodpecker was relaxing and enjoyable. Having access to a games room and pool for my kids was amazing. If they had their way, they would’ve been in the pool every day for many hours. It was lovely being able to have the pool to ourselves so it did not restrict us by impeding on anyone else else’s Swim. As we are all keen swimmers for us more access to the pool for longer periods would have made it fantastic for us and we weren’t aware at the time of booking that it was bookable...

Great location ( near pub, shops, fantastic cafe. ) The only downside was automatic check in didn’t go smoothly and very hard to contact anyone so took almost an hour of hanging around before we could access room.
