"The Hotel looked excellent - unfortunately we weren't able to stay there - why? Because the hotel was closed for refurbishment - and EXPEDIA failed to notify us prior to travelling - and also EXPEDIA refused to share our phone number with the hotel so they were unable to inform us in advance of our arrival - fortunately the hotel staff were able to assist us in gettinga ccomodation nearby. "The room was clean and tidy, staff were pleasant and helpful. The food in the restaurant was good and varied. The only drawback for us was the lack of a cooked breakfast. I didn't like the continental offering, There was however a fridge in the room. We took our dog with us for which we paid 35 pounds there was nothing provided for the dog"

Great to have, in our opinion, excellent food -evening meal and breakfast, good ale and choice of wine by the glass, and service, all on the premises making for an easy stroll back to our room! Our room had cold water coming from the hot tap and vice versa. Took a while to work that out. Informed the manager who made a note to deal with it. We enjoyed our stay and would do so again next time we're in the area."

"Scarborough Hill Country Inn is a a gem! We were pleased to be offered a room upgrade when we arrived as we had initially booked a small double room and a larger room was available. We were very happy with the room offered - bright, airy, thoughtfully furnished and extremely clean. An extensive range of teas, coffee and hot chocolate were provided in the room along with complementary water. The restaurant was busy, however staff were attentive, nothing was too much trouble. 5 stars for the food...

"A well run hotel...very clean room....and stayed on a Sunday evening when no food served so can't comment....but would recommend the hotel and will stay again...staff very helpful and lovely choice of beers at the bar....and shops close by"

"It was a great stop on the Norfolk coast. The beach was literally down the pathway. The staff were so lovely and friendly and the room had everything we needed in it.
