Our family of five adults stayed for my sonā€™s graduation from LUCOM. Preston and Judy were super friendly and kind. The property is gorgeous! It was the perfect place to stay for us. The house had all the comforts of home. It was wonderful living in the country for a few days and taking many beautiful photos. Highly recommend! If we ever make it back to Lynchburg, we will stay here again.

The property is beautiful and the house is a darling old farmhouse that was so cozy and homey. The hosts are wonderful people, with whom we had the privilege of visiting with during our stay. We stayed here for our sonā€™s graduation from Liberty University, which is a 30 minute drive from the property. Our only regret is that we couldnā€™t stay longer.

We originally had another place booked deep in the mountains that got snowed in. We were able to book this location in the nick of time and we just cant say enough good things about the location, the views and Mr. And Mrs. Layne. Everything worked out perfect and I dont think it could have possibly gone better. Thanks to both of you for letting us have our wedding there.

We had such a nice time. The farmhouse is large, well equipped and updated, with a few old fashioned touches to preserve its character. It's very peaceful with no close neighbors.The view is almost as good as being on the parkway. The parkway in this area is spectacular. Our favorite was seeing the "Star" in Roanoke.Our thanks to the Laynes. I hope we were good guests.

We had such a wonderful stay here. The house is big and clean and inviting. The decor is comfortable and accommodating. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed the firepit ( gas ) and the back porch the most. We watched the sun set over the Peaks of otter and the sunrise from the front porch. The owner came over to say hello, and we talked a bit. He was very friendly. We will definately look to stay here again in the future.

It is impossible to overstate the views of and from this home. The Peaks of Otter from the simple but excellent back patio. And more. Absolutely nothing unpleasant in any direction. The house is highly functional and has a country home vibe. Nothing really modern but quality is fine. Equipped with everything we needed. We were especially impressed by the heating system. The hosts live nearby and farm parts of the surrounding area, so are plenty accessible. One suggestion: we did not find a house book with details, instructions, suggestions. For example, we did not figure out the dvd player (chose not to ask) and the WiFi information was confusing and even contradictory. But these were very minor things in an overall terrific package.

This is a warm, inviting property. The owners take pride in their property and it shows. We instantly felt at home. The views are spectacular. We loved the town of Bedford and will certainly be back.

We had a wonderful time staying here. The view was incredible and our 6 kids loved having room to run around outside. It was so nice to meet Preston and Judy as well. We were in town for my cousins wedding and had extra time to explore the area. We plan to come back for another visit in the future.

A beautiful and peaceful stay in beautiful country. We came here from many different states for a wedding and the accommodations were perfect for our needs. The owners were delightful and very welcoming. It was truly an oasis of peace during a hectic time.

Preston and Judy are delighful people. They responded to any question or need very quickly. Judy even grasciousy washed the pillowcase of a pillow that was left behind before we could get it the next day. The house was great and the view is spectacular!

Preston and Judy are such a joy. Meeting them was just a added bonus. The farm house was everything they described. It was warm and welcoming and very comfortable. It reminded me of my parents home. The town is so Quant and friendly. You must vist the D Day memorial. We also hiked the otter peeks. Thans again for sharing your home.

My husband and I stayed at this property for our anniversary. It was a beautiful location and we had a wonderful time. The house had plenty of room and the scenery was just beautiful. The owner came by and introduced himself which I thought was very nice. We have rented many places in our travels and this was the first time that we ever met the owner.

We recently had a wedding at Glass Hill wedding venue and this was an ideal location just miles away. We stayed there with our two adult children and their spouses and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the gracious accommodations. Everything was clean and as expected on the description. We highly recommend this venue.
