The house was very clean and kitchen fully stocked. Chris made sure there was firewood to make smores and recommended a beautiful hike. We enjoyed our stay and wish we had more time to explore the area.

The property is stunning and the home is exactly how the pictures make it out to be. This is the perfect Berkshires getaway with easy access to Lee, restaurants, shopping and skiing while providing an idyllic place to recharge and relax away from it all.

Magical Spot in the Berkshires

This was our second trip here, and we can't say enough great things about this home. The property is comfortable, sprawling and secluded and yet close enough to Great Barrington, Stockbridge, and other nearby towns so you can dip in for dinner and groceries easily. 10/10.

Relaxing

Quiet getaway

This is a house in a fabulous location! Very quiet – no street noise, only nature surrounds you; very private with beautiful landscaping. Great screened-in porch and sitting area in front. Very close to many great hikes. A convenient location to Stockbridge, Great Barrington, groceries.

Even better than I thought

My family and I had a great trip while staying in this house. The kitchen had everything we needed, the home was clean, the property was fun to explore, and so peaceful! But not too remote where we feel too far from what we need. Nearby was Big Y grocery store, Athena’s restaurant, and the small beach on Center Pond which was all great, exceeded expectations, and within 15 min away. We definitely plan to come back again.

Berkshire Home for DELUX relaxation

The home and gardens were designed with care for maximizing a location to take time to unwind. The comfort and home touches welcome you to utilize all it has to offer, from multiple living spaces, to two fire pits. Beautiful time spent here in nature setting manicured with to invite walking about. Even a rain day reading was a pleasure looking out to the gardens and just breathing in the clean air. Thank you we felt very much at home!

Nature Retreat

Perfect home base for our time in the Berkshires. We loved the natural environment that surrounds this comfortable and well stocked home. The soundscape of this property was so wonderful … the silence, the bird songs and calls ( 33 species identified over the course of the week!), the symphony of frogs and the mysteries of the night (owls, fox). The only complaint we have is that we had to leave!

The Best Stay

This is our second time staying here and it just the most perfect house. We rang in the new year with friends and all our kids. The house is so cozy, we played games fireside and cooked dinner every night. During the day we explored Stockbridge, Great Barrington and Lennox. The location is perfect. We also went snow tubing at butternut mountain and bosque mountain. We woke up to snow, there is nothing better than a cup of coffee and those beautiful snow covered views. Thank you Chris and Jane! We can’t wait to return.

Overall it was a good experience. Property is quiet and pretty. Queen bed had sheets that were too small and pillows are very sub par. Front porch area needs work and is weedy. Chairs are broken and pillows wet and mildew. Many of the cabinets were broken and misaligned. For the fee charged, guests expect a bit more luxury. Thanks for understanding. It would be nice to have 4 chairs in the porch. Not some high and low.

Beautiful stay!

Our family of 7 enjoyed a beautiful long snowy weekend in the Berkshires at this lovely property! The house was everything we were looking for! The kitchen is fully stocked with every appliance and gadget you could want or need. The dining and living spaces were perfect for gathering together. Many games were played together in front of the beautiful roaring fireplace! The bedrooms provided quiet spaces to sneak away for quiet naps. We enjoyed exploring the property on several snow walks, along with a quick trip to Ski Butternut for tubing. So much fun! Thank you so much Chris and Jane for sharing your lovely home. We’d love to come back in the summer to enjoy everything else the Berkshires has to offer!

Amazing vacation house!

The property is absolutely breathtaking. Very private and beautiful. The house looks over the pond and a 360 degree of pure nature. The house is stunning. For our family of 5 it was absolutely a lavish vacation house. A lot of natural light coming through every window of the house especially when you wake up in the morning. The kitchen is totally accessible for any of your cooking or baking. We did a lot of that. Coming from our small house in New York, we really felt like being in a dream castle on our winter ski vacation. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. We highly recommend it to anyone who's interested in a quiet relaxation.

Blended Family Thanksgiving

Trying to get everyone together on thanksgiving has been a bit challenging with a new blended family. We chose to have a pre thanksgiving family destination celebration and found the most perfect place and location to do so. Becket Massachusetts a stones throw from Stockbridge. This beautiful property on many acres gave our grandchildren a place to explore. There was a pond and open beautifully maintained grassy areas to run and kick soccer ball. Cozy conversations by a well stocked wooded fireplace and a full downstairs for movies and games for our grandchildren. We all had amazing spaces. Kitchen was well equipped making all our thanksgiving dishes brought up easy to reheat cook and celebrate around a great dining table. Bathrooms updated beautifully appointed with towels and hairdryer etc. Immaculate and so inviting. The owner had contacted us prior to our visit and took time to tell us about trails nearby as well as Stockbridge. Games puzzles and even s'mores fixings were there for a family or couples to enjoy. I can't say enough about our stay except experiencing our first snow fall there. Magical and exciting to say the least!! We highly recommend this beautiful property and definitely will be back to experience in the summer! Thank you for a wonderful experience at your beautiful and loving home!

I stayed here for a week with 2 adult friends and we loved the house & yard. Having 3 bedrooms & bathrooms on 3 different floors was perfect for us. The huge, beautiful yard had fire pits set up & chairs to sit outside, and we liked the screened porch. The kitchen was well stocked with lots of equipment. I suggest putting Beech Tree Ln & Woodmere Rd into your GPS, since part of Beech Tree is closed so our GPS initially brought us to a dead end.

Chris and Jane went above and beyond to make our stay at their home a stand-out experience. We are foodies and always look for restaurants that surprise us with outstanding dishes. We were having a hard time making reservations at several restaurants . Jane and Chris immediately jumped in helping us out and made reservations at 3 different restaurants for us. They also suggested a hike which we did and loved. They were just so darn helpful with everything. This home is beautifully designed with soothing colors and textures. The beds are super comfy, the kitchen has high quality everything you would need to cook and the landscape has well thought-out plant material (being a Master Gardener I always notice the plants). The property has a pond with a pond house. My husband did yoga most mornings on the porch of this charming little house. The only slight down side would be the WiFi is kinda slow and the signal for Netflix can drop . But this beautiful retreat of a house in the forest will delight everyone!

Beautiful Property

My friends and I went away for a girls weekend. The pictures don’t do it justice! The home is beautiful and the property itself was breathtaking. We didn’t have to leave the house all weekend! The pond in the yard was the best part! There was a boat we took out every day to enjoy the outdoors. It was such a relaxing weekend and a nice break from the city. We will definitely be coming back!

Magical Spot

Our stay at Bear Pond was incredible. The owners are wonderful hosts and make you feel so welcome. I felt as if I was staying at my favorite uncle & aunt’s home with all the personal touches for the guests. The owner gave us tips on the area and even made a gift basket for our family upon arrival. These hosts don’t skimp on making sure there are supplies to use during your stay. The kitchen is a perfect place to do meals at home. If you forgot sunscreen or extra paper towels the home is prepared. The house itself is beautiful, organized, clean and cozy. The whole property has an air of magic to it. It’s a very peaceful and safe place. Our family had a wonderful time thanks to the owners of this home and them sharing it with us all. It was such a great time together as a family in the Berkshires. Thank you!
