This unique brick loft lies in the heart of the historic commercial district, ten steps off of Bay Street, Downtown Beaufort's historic commercial street. The quaint porch entryway and interior brick walls provide the welcome retreat that makes ā€˜Oyster Bedā€™sā€™ individuality shine. You are one block from the scenic Waterfront Park, restaurants like Plums, Saltus, Breakwater, Q On Bay, Wren, and Hearth and others. Stroll down Bay Street, enjoying the many art galleries for which Beaufort is known or the historic residential district, the Old Point, to see the beautiful antebellum homes. The beach at Hunting Island State Park is about a 15-minuet drive away. Come to Beaufort to relax and un-wind, watch the sun set, and experience why we love Beaufort so much!
Oyster Bed is fully furnished, featuring air conditioning, beautiful hard-wood floors, a 30ā€ flat-screen TV, and high speed internet. The kitchenette has a mini-refrigerator/freezer, coffee-maker, microwave, silverware/dinnerware, and basic kitchen goods.

Perfect Weekend

Cannot say enough about this wonderful place! My husband and I love love loved it. Easy to get around to places from it. We had a boat that was at the marina, which was only a block away. We want to come back and stay again for a weekend again. Everything about this place was perfect!

Location, location, location

I wanted to love this property. The owners have made such an effort to make a small space livable - with the right amount of quirky. I loved the walls, floor, comfy chairs and flax/linen comforter cover. Communication was really great when I had problems connecting to the internet (router and password are not accurate on VRBO listing). OK, here's the problem(s). Immediately upon entering, both my husband and I noticed the slight smell of mildew / mustiness that, unfortunately, did not dissipate for me. I was having problems dealing with it. Was it coming from the walls (no, they were sealed), the bedding (no, smelled fresh), the air conditioning or elsewhere (I don't know). 2nd, a prior renter had mentioned that the shower door did not close all the way and I had the exact same issue (it wasn't fixed) - the lower hinge had moved somehow and my husband had to really crank on the door to get it closed - I thought it was going to break. I had to have him let me out of the shower. Things are just a bit "unfinished" - bare wood on countertop and kitchen cupboard. The silverware was dirty and I didn't have any confidence that any of the dishes or silverware were clean. It didn't help that the silverware was stored in a rusted tin container. Sure, I appreciated the rustic touches, but NOT when it comes to eating utensils. Unfortunately, it was just a bit TOO rustic for me.

I could not get shower door closed. Needs repair. A new mattress would make the stay much more pleasant! We have stayed here several times. Love this little loft apt. Great location.

I canā€™t recommend this property highly enough. The location is perfectā€”right in the heart of downtown and the building itself has so much charm. Next time we come to Beaufort this will be our preferred stay.

I liked how close the location was to everything. It had a unique style for such a small place. What I didn't like was the air conditioner drain line dripped over the entry door real close to the door handle. We got creative on how to dodge it. And we could never get the tv to turn on. Also, parking was horrible! We followed the parking instructions that we were given but had to figure it out.

Stayed in Beaufort for a few days heading south. This rental is in a perfect location. Great restaurant across the street & many more around the corner along with lots of shops. Water view is a block & a half walk. The rental is small but big enough for 2 for a few days. We called owning with a connectivity issue he came in a few minutes & all issues resolved.

Check in process was a breeze, communication with Ashley was so quick. The loft was super clean and so cute, this place took you back in time in a good way. With a quick walk downtown and a neat little bar across the street it made for a convenient and great time. The parking on Scott street was closed but no big deal.

Incredible location

If you and your spouse/partner want to stay downtown Beaufort, this is the place! It's across the street from Old Bull Tavern and only a few steps away from all the downtown shops/restaurants. It is small, however, it was perfect for my wife and me. I highly recommend it :)

Great property!

Hey Ashley - we had a great weekend in Beaufort and really enjoyed having your place as home base. Super convenient to walk everywhere we wanted to go - restaurants, shopping and the waterfront park. Free parking at the marina is a great perk, but we also found street parking closer at a low price too. Cute little grocery market directly below and Old Bull Tavern just steps away. Our ONLY complaint is that the AC needs a boost somehow - it gets HOT here! If nothing else, an oscillating fan would have been awesome to provide some circulation in the space. Itā€™s a great rental for a couple. We hope to come again.

We were given 3 different times for check-in, and at all 3 times the place was unkept as if the last guest had just left. Took an effort to get in touch with property manager, and then was very nonchalant about us walking into a dirty apartment. Amazing location and once clean the space was perfect. But took a lot to get there.
