"We loved our stay and plan on returning in the future for a longer stay so we can experience more. It was about the same cost as a hotel stay, but with more of a home feel and a lot more room. I also enjoyed the view of the lake from our front porch. If I could suggeat one little change, maybe open the gym a little earlier than 9am, but that's all."

"Thanksgiving week with family and friends at the Cottage was perfect. This home is extremely comfortable, relaxing, well stocked with needed kitchen supplies. Was so fun being in the middle of town but felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. Thank you so much for making such a wonderful home available for rent."

"Our family enjoyed our week stay. The house was very spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. The house had many games, books, and movies to choose from for the few days we had some rain. The pool and hot tub were great. Courtney, the property manager, was very quick to respond when we had questions."

"We had a wonderful stay at this house! The rooms were cozy and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day of activities. While the kitchen is a bit outdated, it still had everything we needed for preparing meals. The location was fantastic - close to everything we wanted to explore. "The host was very responsive and interacted well. The house was perfect for my event. I was able to host a family celebration for a graduation. It was the perfect amount of space for everyone to be comfortable. The only issue was the heating and cooling system but as mention earlier the host was so responsive it never became a big issue. I would definitely book with this host/ property agian."

"Excellent home base location for any Fredericksburg area activities. Quiet and peaceful street and home. Pictures in listing are an accurate representation. House had all of the essentials, and both bathrooms were the cleanest bathrooms of any rental I've ever stayed in. Host communicated well, left plenty of instructions where they might be needed, and even left snacks with a personal note. A very good experience - thank you!"

Having lived in the area for 16 years I have driven by this gem countless times, always admiring it but I could never have imagined how nice, how peaceful a property it is. It's conveniently located close to everything but nestled away for privacy. The game room was a hit, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen well-stocked with everything you need for meals. "8 of us met at the Happy Place to tour the local wineries. The house and ground are so beautiful. The beds were comfortable enough that everyone wanted to know the brand! Karen was very responisve to our texts! We had a fabulous weekend. Thanks so much!"

"Specious home to enjoy time with family. 25 min form Fredericksburg VA and 1.25 hours from DC. Check out the marines museum which is free and 20 minutes away. "
