Reminiscent of childhood family holidays at the beach, bucket and spade in hand, breathing fresh sea air to instantly relax within moments!

The century old cottage, locally claimed to have originated from nearby Penguin Island as a Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage, is ideal for family holidays or couples getaways. Quaintly furnished with charming, vintage décor, the open space interior features kitchen, bathroom (shower over bath) and laundry facilities and split system heating and cooling to ensure a comfortable stay.

Perfectly situated in the heart of Beachport and at the start of the 'Bowman Scenic Drive', 'Serendipity' offers unrivalled convenience of location!

Cafe's, restaurants, playgrounds, historic sites, shops and pristine beaches are steps away. Just as close are golf greens, tennis courts and nature walks - the lighthouse it at the end of the street!

For the fishing-inclined, the Beachport Jetty and boat-ramp lay around the corner. Rivoli Bay and the famous "Salmon Hole" await nearby. There is ample room at 'Serendipity' to park your boat safely too!

** Please Note: Serendipity Holiday Cottage has two bedrooms, the bunk bed is tucked away in the family room. There is NO oven at this property, instead there is a glass electric cook top, a microwave and a hooded BBQ. Bathroom and Bedroom linen are provided for your stay.

We arrived at the property late afternoon. We bought a lot of our own food to cook and eat due to dietary. As soon as we walked in the house it had a terrible smell. I used my expensive perfume to make the place smell better. We noticed there was an issue with the stumps under the floor. It was uneven in areas by as much as 10cm. The fridge door was filthy, i cleaned the fridge inside and out.the kitchen sink was dirty. My husband ended up going out with my adult son to grt dinner while i cleaned the kitchen and the dirty bathroom. It was when i was cleaning the kitchen sink that it became obvious how badly it was blocked. By that stage I messaged the property after hours number. The response I got was "we will call a plumber in the morning" we sat and waited the next morning. I messaged aroound 10am. I was that all the plumbers were at footy. It didn't appear that the person I was messaging even cared. I had to insist on a plumber and the message response I got was. "The housekeeper checks the sink and nothing was reported". I had to remind the person that the sink blockage was a serious health issue and that it was affecting our weekend getaway to celebrate my 65th Birthday. She could care a less. She tried everything to make me go away. A plumber finally arrived at just after 12noon. The plumber himself commented on how bad and filthy the blockage was. It took over an hour to unblock it. I took pictures of the filthy and rundown estate of the house and sent it

Had everything required for holiday

Quiet and peaceful. Rustic charm with almost everything that was required. The cons were that the heating/cooling system was very noisy and drowned out the TV whenever it cut in. The shower was barely adequate due to water pressure and being over the bath entirely unsuitable for elderly or disabled. The mattresses are VERY firm resulting in poor, uncomfortable sleep so we left property a day earlier than planned. Overall, expensive for the amenities provided but if you are looking for a rustic experience and young enough to cope with the discomfort then this may be the place for you.

Beautiful Serendipity

This property was truly fantastic..It had been well thought out with extra thoughtful touches. We’d certainly return if we ever visited Beachport again in the future.

Great Location

This was a great little cottage in an awesome spot. Just around the corner from the main street and lots of places to eat as well as the jetty. Perfect for a couples getaway. Wifi would have been an added bonus.

Perfect family getaway

Serendipity Cottage was perfect for our holiday needs! Our city kids loved having the freedom to access the delights of Beachport on their own - the cinema, museum, playgrounds and milkshakes were just steps from the front door! Even more exciting was having the beach and jetty just a 2 minute walk away!

Fantastic location

The pictures reflect the property well and add ons like the hammock, BBQ, outdoor shaded area and croquet set were well used. So handy to amenities, the beach and donut van by the jetty! We will definitely return. Be prepared to bring extra wash up liquid, clothes wash powder and toilet paper though as not enough was available for a family to use across a week long stay.

The property is just as advertised and very clean. Great location to walk to the beach or shops. We had a minor plumbing issue whilst there and the property manager sorted it super fast, all staff are very friendly and great to deal with

Attractive property, very well-located in the heart of Beachport in walking distance of shops, pubs and beaches. Simple, no frills cottage with all that might be required. Some heating in the bathroom would be a bonus but not a big deal. Comfortable bed. Enjoyable stay

Pleasant little cottage, handy to centre of town

This property is clean, conveniently located close to the supermarket and deli, walking distance to the pub and the jetty / town beach. Easy check in / check out, very hassle free.
