Ancient Stone Houses - Dom'e Pedra

Dom'e Pedra (stone house) is located in the historic center of Baunei, a town that preserves the magic of authentic Sardinian culture and the most ancient traditions. The house has been recently renovated trying to reconcile the Sardinian art of ornaments with the comfort of modernity. Dom'e Pedra with its stone walls, the wood of the doors, the juniper beams, the antique furniture and the colorful flowers will certainly win you over. At the entrance you will find the living room with a fireplace and an equipped and functional kitchenette; the stairs will lead you to the two double bedrooms located one on the first and one on the second floor. Both bedrooms have a private bathroom with a large shower. On the second floor there is also a small terrace with table and chairs.
The rooms are equipped with independent heating and air conditioning. The house is also equipped with a microwave with grill, water boiler, toaster, iron and ironing board and flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Free Wifi throughout the house. Towels and sheets are provided and included in the price. The consumption of water and electricity are included in the price except for a daily supplement of ā‚¬. 5.00 for the use of heat pumps.

Amazing Stay in Baunei

We were so sad to leave this lovely house in Baunei. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The house was charming, comfy, and the AC worked beautifully to keep us cool. Cristine and Graziella were wonderful hosts who helped us book local dinner reservations, gave us tips on things to do in the neighborhood, and provided helpful proactive reminders.

Wir haben uns in dieser wunderschƶnen Unterkunft super wohl gefĆ¼hlt! Alles war super sauber, sehr gepflegt und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Umgebung ist ein Traum, eine tolle kleine Stadt, leckeres Eis, gutes Essen und genug Ruhe zum erholen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefĆ¼hlt und kƶnnen das Haus nur empfehlen. Einziger informativer Punkt (hat uns nicht gestƶrt): es gibt zumindest im Haus keine Waschmaschine.

Nice little 3 story village house

In the middle of Baunei, just a few steps away from the main square, you will find this nicely renovated 2 bedrooms village house. You will enjoy two bathrooms and your downtown (main square) living room. Have coffee, eat a slice of pizza and enjoy the scenery or just locals go by. Perfect place to start any trekking in the area.

Wonderful Village, Apt right in the Center

This apartment is about as centrally located as possible in Baunei. (Pronounced Bau - Nay: Your'e welcome!) It is only a 2 minute walk to the central square. Both bedrooms had AC which was a lifesaver during the July 2023 heatwave. It is otherwise very well shaded on a narrow street so most of the year is probably not necessary. The kitchen is quite small for preparing meals, I recommend mostly eating out. Some of the more AgroTurismo restaurants might need reservations well in advance of your arrival in peak season. The drive to Baunei from Olbia is quite adventurous, mostly curvy roads along mountain ridge and takes much longer than it looks on the map - for us more than 3 hours. It would be great to head back sometime in Spring or Fall to enjoy some the amazing trekking in the area without peak summer heat. Otherwise there are lots of options for boating, swimming, and snorkeling in nearby Santa Maria Navarrese which is about 25 minutes away and a 500 meter descent. Our host Graziella was easily reachable and helpful with recommendations including a local Sagre Mailetto festival while we where there- This was a big pig BBQ in the middle of town with a DJ and dancing and we enjoyed trying our best to mix with the locals. I can recommend both the destination and the apartment for your trip to Sardinia.

So much nicer than staying in a modern apartment on the beach. Felt like we were really part of this charming village. two minutes walk to the village square and two to the world's best goat milk gelateria. The house is like the pictures-- not a place to hang out in but you're not there to sit in the house. Wifi did not work at all while we were there due to a storm.

Was fĆ¼r eine tolle, lieb eingerichtete Unterkuft! So viele wunderschƶne Details, vom Geschirr bis hin zu den FensterlƤden- einfach nur schƶn und Ƥusserst geschmackvoll! Auch der Rest des Hauses ist im Stil des Schalfzimmers gestaltet. Wir hatten uns anhand dieses einen Fotos fĆ¼r die Unterkunft entschieden und wurden nicht enttƤuscht! Ein Ort um sich wohlzufĆ¼hlen.

Das sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtete Steinhaus im Herzen von Baunei lƤƟt kaum WĆ¼nsche offen. Die Schlafzimmer sind gerƤumig und mit modernen BƤdern ausgestattet und die nette kleine Terasse kann bei warmen Temperaturen gut fĆ¼r die Mahlzeiten genutzt werden. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefĆ¼hlt.

Highly recommend!

The house was beautiful and interesting. The layout was very comfortable, with a bedroom and bathroom on the 2nd and 3rd floors and the kitchen and TV on the ground floor. The town is quaint and relaxing, with restaurants/bars, gelateria, and grocery stores. The host greeted us and oriented us to the house and also arranged for us to have dinner in a nearby restaurant, even though we arrived quite late.

Baunei liegt auf 500 m, im Sommer schƶn kĆ¼hl, wir waren jedoch im MƤrz 20 da. Das HƤuschen liegt sehr zentral, die KĆ¼che warm-hearted etwas dunkel, da tiefer als die StraƟe und am Hang. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefĆ¼hlt und Graziella, die Hausdame, hat sich rĆ¼hrend um uns gekĆ¼mmert. Das war gerade die Corona-Woche, sie hat alles mit der Polizei organisiert, damit wir einen Passagierschein bekamen, um aus dem Ort auszureisen. Die RĆ¼ckreise klappte dann einwandfrei. Nochmals danke, Grauiella.

full of character and comfortable

very clean and comfortable, well appointed, in a charming old restored house in the centre of town. Great position close to local facilities and quiet and night. Good bathrooms with plenty of hot water and comfortable bed.
