Four out of five for the staff because they sat around us chatting whilst we were having breakfast. It felt a little like we were in the way of their conversation.
Dined here on two evenings and one breakfast. Very good meals apart from a massively overpriced “cauliflower steak” - ordered out of curiosity but I should have asked first. It was just a roasted head of cauliflower… and not that big a one, either, but the price didn’t reflect...

"Food and service was exceptional the room was spotless a really nice relaxed weekend. I feel they sell themselves short a little with how good the food is, there isn’t much detail or pictures on the site but its definitely a big selling point "

"Quaint hotel in beautiful location near footpaths leading to good walks in the countryside. The room was reasonably comfortable, though a little hot for a Summer day. Our room did not face the valley and so had no special view.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was very good, especially the coffee.
Good value for money for a pleasant break."

"Left each morning before breakfast so nice to be offered a takeaway sausage sandwich, thank you.
Got a couple of evening walks and pre-warned about possibility of closed restaurant if quiet but other options not required as lovely and busy. "
