Pictures of listing are deceiving. Bottoms of doors are peeling off, baseboards are rotting, fire extinguisher has been discharged, smoke alarm has been removed, furniture looks like it's been picked up at a flea market, it was difficult to get towels, lots of trip hazards to entry, one of the bedrooms didn't cool off much.

I wouldnā€™t know how the stay is, as we were an hour and a half away we still hadnā€™t received the code to check in. Sent a message and was responded with ā€˜yes but youā€™re not a guest in my houseā€™. I was told I hadnā€™t booked while I had a booking # and everything. I got a message after not responding to being told I hadnā€™t paid, to which it said ā€˜Iā€™m sorry I have lots of people in my housesā€™ and that was the last message received. When I talked to vrbo customer service they had no problems finding our booking.

We arrived...no instruction upon arrival....had to contact host directly....and waited over an hour for an answer.... and very vague instruction....house was hot....84 ac was set at 64...two days...only got down to 79...unacceptable.... house was in a bit of a scetchy neighborhood.... and house was was just not very nice overall....not happy

Don't Bother

This was an absolute dump...mold on the baseboards, cockroaches, no shower curtain, wasn't cleaned by check in time. Only positive was I was able to get a refund as we didn't stay even 5 minutes in that house. Not even close to the pictures. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Absolutely Horrible !

from the start I shouldā€™ve known it was going to be a bad experience, the host barely communicated anything we arrived to BR at 8 am he told us we couldnā€™t check in army because of the unit still needing to be cleaned we arrived there around 4 the renal still wasnā€™t finished so we had to wait until 6 and it stil s not done, we dint ge to check in until 8 pm! The bathrooms was still dirty the unit actually looks old, the microwave was broken, thee was no trash bags, barely any dishes, everything looked like it was taken from abandoned places and put into the unit the house keeper was rue and the host did a horrible job at communicating everything the entire trip. I honestly need my money back cause what we got is not what we paid for

Accurate Reviews

The place wasnā€™t horrible but wasnā€™t great. Itā€™s a true 2-3 star rental. One bathroom sink rubs constantly and one only turns on to a drip. 2 towels for 8 people. I had to call the owner to get the code to get in. The community isnā€™t bad but they like to party on Saturdays. The floor was swept but left our socks black. Like I said a true 2-3.

Disappointed

The host provided the wrong address in listing. The stove top was half up half down which was unsafe to use. Towels were not provided which at-least could've been stated in listing. Rooms had no TV, there were holes in the wall and huge stains on coaches. There were stains that look like possible blood stains on the sheets in the room with twin beds. The restrooms were not up to par. My family showered with crocs on. The house was decorated specifically for the listing pics.

worst experience ever

i NEVER write bad reviews, but i need everyone to be aware of this host and house. ill keep it short and simple: - forgot about our reservation - no clean house until 10:30 pm - bounced us around to other houses thinking they were cleaned ( they werent. full of trash and food ) - host is cannot speak proper english and especially cannot communicate well - broken furniture - kitchen not sanitary for cooking - my whole team left sick due to very poor maintenance of air filters, dust, and dander - host told me to wait until the end of the week to talk about getting a refund with him (i didnt want to stay but if we were getting refunded might as well) then after the reservation was complete, he only gave me $70 refund when I spent over $1000 on a 1 week stay. PSA: IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE HOUSE YOU RENTED WITH VRBO, DONT DO ANYTHING WITH THE HOST. CALL VRBO IMMEDIATELY. THEY WILL HELP YOU. DONT DEPEND ON THE HOST. (lesson learned) please please dont stay here ): it was not a good time

Not like the pictures

I will start with the fact that the property was properly cleaned. Other than that, I would not recommend staying here. The home/duplex was very old and worn down, with a leaky faucet in both bathrooms and overhead lighting not working in multiple rooms. There were no pillowcases for the beds. We were provided with 2 towels for a party of 4. There were no comforters on any beds - just sheets and a blanket (unlike the pictures). The neighborhood did not feel safe (there are bars on the windows) and it was very noisy throughout the night. Not a great experience for my family.

Convenient but not nice

The space was good. But the property is old and renovations is much needed thru out the house. The bathroom tub is rusted. The main bedroom door panel was loose. The front door does not shut unless itā€™s locked. The doors thru out the house look bent. No tv in no rooms except the living room. The desk in one of the rooms chair had loose legs. There is no towels and rags. Home needs painting and no pillow cases on pillows. They need to show accurate pictures because the bathroom in the hallway was left out the advertisement. Im assuming because itā€™s not up to par (chipped paintedā€¦ rusted tub etc) Again, the home is spacious but needs serious updates.

There is a nice tv in the property. All is adequate. There werenā€™t enough towels or coffee cups or forks. There are no items such as dish soap, spices, coffee filters or anything that you might find left over from other renters, We spent very little time at the space, and it provided what we needed, a place to sleep while in town to visit with family and friends.

Just what we needed

After a rocky start with check in, the owner was very responsive to our needs. The house was very usable on the inside and had good parking. I did have two packages stolen from the house, but we had no other problems with the neighborhood.

Close to LSU

Picked this place because it was a bit cheaper than staying super close to LSU Ag arena. Upon arrival, several hours after checkin time, unit was still being cleaned. Communication with owner was decent but sort of a hassle to have to wait until they were done cleaning. Owner had to come and repair a mirror which was hanging off one of the bathrooms. Pictures are accurate, but definitely could use some updating! It did have everything we need bedroom wise, and had a kitchen and den. Parking was a bit confusing but after contacting owner he told us where to park. About 10 minute drive to LSU.
