High Seas is a lovely rustic cottage tucked away in a quiet location. Access to the property was via lockbox which worked. It had everything I needed, and more, for a two week stay, from the kitchen to the bathroom facilities. It was clean and tidy. Luke also allowed us to stay on past the 11.00am departure time which was a great help as I had an evening flight.If you want to fully explore the island, then a vehicle is a must. I did walk over to Bathsheba and catch the bus into Bridgetown, which for BBD3.50 is very good value for money. Also in Bathsheba are Andromeda Botanic Gardens - well worth walking over to and having a leisurely wander around enjoying all the beautiful flowers and interesting trees. The bus stop to Speightstown is at the bottom of the drive - perhaps next time!If you are a hiker then High Seas is in a perfect location for exploring the hills of the Scotland District, St Andrew. There was an unexpected occurrence, which was totally out of Luke's control. Something all guests wherever they stay need to remember might happen.I hope to return again to High Seas where I can once again relax, listen to the sea, watch the moneys pass through in the morning whilst having breakfast on the veranda with the bull finches! and hear the Shak Shak seed pods rustling in the tree next door. Bliss :)
