* Beautiful Luxury Lake House with views of the lake through the trees, sleeps 16! * Just steps to private boat dock (ask about boat rental referrals) * 17 miles to Yosemite National Park * Parking for 4 vehicles is included, boats/trailers count as a vehicle (extra cars $25 per night) * No animals of any kind allowed * No parties and no day visitors or guests beyond 16 (cameras on property)
This luxurious lake house offers a comfortable and convenient stay near Bass Lake. Enjoy easy access to the lake with a private boat dock just a short walk away. Relax and unwind on the spacious deck, complete with comfortable loungers and a propane BBQ, perfect for enjoying the lake views through the trees. The fully equipped high-end kitchen is a chef`s dream, featuring a wine fridge and a nugget ice maker, ideal for entertaining guests. The inviting living room provides a cozy space with a large smart TV, a gas fireplace, and a selection of board games for family entertainment. The home features six bedrooms, providing ample space for a large group. Five bedrooms are furnished with king-size beds, and the sixth bedroom is a bunk room with six bunk beds. For your convenience, the house includes a washer and dryer, along with fast and reliable WiFi.
*Dock/Lake Access: The boat slip is located at the dock just across the street and a short walk down the street (300 ft.). There is a cute little beach area, where the dock is. It`s private and only dock owners and renters may use it. In the summer they put up umbrellas at the picnic tables. Feel free to bring chairs and umbrellas and hangout on the dock. The boat slip is the very last one on the dock so you can jump off and play in the water. PLEASE note, the dock is closest to the open water and the tide can get very rough. Please take the time to safely and securely tie up your boat. We are not responsible for damage in the event that your boat hits the dock. Also, there is a population of geese that sometimes leave droppings on the dock. A broom should be located at the beginning of the dock to assist you in cleaning up if you wish to spend time at the end of the dock. *If you want to launch a boat you can do so at the public boat launch for free on the opposite side of the lake or pay a fee at Bass Lake Water Sports (located at the Pines Resort) nearby. *Please do not try to open locked doors or wonder onto the neighbors property. * Early checkin and Late check out MUST be arranged in advance and will come with a CHARGE. The Housekeeping company pays their staff by the hour, whether they are cleaning or waiting for guests to leave. In general they charge a fee of $25 per hour to alter the check in or check out time. Ask about mid stay cleans for an extra fee. *Day visitors are not allowed so every person on the property at any time must be on your reservation. Absolutely no parties!
We are local hosts and live about 30 minutes away in case of emergencies. We are always quick to respond to messages.

With its blend of natural beauty and convenient amenities, Bass Lake offers a perfect setting for a mountain getaway. Upon arrival, you`ll find a comprehensive welcome binder filled with insider tips, highlighting the best local attractions, dining options, and nearby hiking trails to explore.
You will need a car to get around but take the time to walk around in the Pines Village area, you won`t be disappointed! If you are planning to go to Yosemite, you can look into the YARTS bus to avoid the issue of limited parking in Yosemite.
Bring your boat or kayak to use in the provided boat slip. The slip is the last one on the dock and generally stays in the water at the end of the summer. Please note that water levels are not guaranteed and slip use is dependent on water level.
Park on the front driveway only please. The side driveway is shared with the house next door and you will block the entrance to their house if you park there. The garage is not part of the rental.
While we try to keep salt, pepper and oil stocked for your convenience, it is not guaranteed.
Chains and 4 wheel drive are strongly encouraged in the winter months and may be required if there is snow in the forecast.
Please note: some roads from the East, such as Tioga Pass and Glacier Point are seasonal and are closed October through June.
PLEASE NOTE: We have service providers (Gardner, pest control etc) who may be outside on the property during daytime hours, from time to time.
PLEASE NOTE: If checking out on any of the following holidays: Easter Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Veterans Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Eve Christmas Day New Years Eve New Years Day You will receive a fee request after booking to cover housekeeping expenses. The housekeeping company charges $50 for checkouts on any of these holidays.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not alter our cancellation policy for instances of rain, snow, smoke from fires, illness or family crisis, failure to get national park reservations or closures to the national park. Please purchase your travel insurance accordingly.
After booking, you will be asked to agree to a rental agreement which restates the policies detailed in this listing.
Lost and Found: All lost and found items will be kept for up to 7 days. Shipping cost and staff time to mail it back will be charged to the guest. The minimum fee to ship an item starts at $50 and may increase depending on shipping cost. * Quiet time is 10PM-8AM * Parking for 4 vehicles is included (including one trailers/boat), any vehicle beyond four will have to find alternative parking in a public area, as there is no street parking. * Any guest not disclosed in advance of check in will be charged at double the nightly guest charge (plus taxes, $93.99 per night) for the duration of your ENTIRE reservation. * We count INFANTS in the guest total, please ensure you have included them as `children` on your reservation, or you may receive a fee request after booking to correct the reservation if max occupancy is exceeded. * No refunds for outages beyond hosts control, ex. WiFi, water, electric, etc. * Smoking anywhere on or in the property will incur a minimum $100 fee. Please smoke at the street or off site. * We are unable to allow pets/service animals as we have a family member who regularly uses the home and has an extreme allergy. We charge a $500 fee for undisclosed pets/service animals to ensure the safety of our family member.

Great place for an extended family get together
The house was as advertised and the rooms and common spaces were comfortable. The wi-fi was reliable for remote work.The instructions and information booklet was helpful. The entire extended family loved the place and enjoyed hanging out in the house.

We had an incredible stay at The Bear Claw home on Bass Lake! Our group of 14, ages 11–71, was comfortably accommodated, and the home exceeded our expectations.After another VRBO owner unexpectedly canceled our fully paid, long-standing reservation just three weeks before our trip, these owners truly came to our rescue. We are so grateful for their responsiveness and willingness to help us secure such an amazing home on short notice.The layout was perfect for a large family. The bunk room was a hit with the kids, and every bedroom had king-size beds that were extremely comfortable! With four bathrooms, multiple people could shower at once without running out of hot water.The kitchen was well stocked with high-end appliances and everything we needed to cook for a large group. We especially appreciated the essentials provided—dish soap, garbage bags, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash—rather than the typical sample sizes.Communication with the owners was outstanding. Every message was answered within just a few minutes to a few hours, making the entire process smooth and easy. The location was perfect for visiting Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia National Parks.We cannot say enough great things about this property and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful home near Yosemite!
