"Access worked well via code communicated via email. Room was very clean and well appointed. Bed and bedding was very comfortable. Small bathroom with nice rainfall shower. Location was ideal sitting at the bottom of Steep Hill between shops and historic Lincoln (castle/cathedral). "

"I had made a call prior to check in to request parking, advised to get there early and ask at desk. This was incorrect and there were no spaces available. At 15.12, after standing in a queue for over 15 mins I am told my room was not ready, the manager came out and was totally disinterested in me as a customer, but found one that would be in another 5 mins. "Lovely comfortable rooms, nice and clean and an easy to use hot shower. Great staff. Only down side was arriving on a cold rainy February afternoon and the rooms were very cold as the heating hadn’t been put on before we arrived. We walked back into town and bought a half price hot water bottle each while the rooms warmed up a bit. Other than that all was good. "

"We had a lovely stay and the hotel is gorgeous. We loved the old style bar and the decor in the rooms. There were, however, a few flaws which would be worth mentioning considering it is not a cheap hotel. Firstly, there was only one person on reception so we were queuing for a while to check in / out and there was no visible key drop. "Room was very clean and pleasant. Food was good but service very very slow (it was Valentines Day so to an extent we understood but 30 mins to get a glass of water was maybe a little extreme) Bed a little uncomfortable and the floors (both ours and above) were extremely creaky so we could hear everyone moving around which made for a difficult sleep. Staff extremely pleasant and location is great."
