No Hot Water, little pre-arrival information & blamed by owner.,

The owner did not send any “Pre-Arrival” information. I reached out the day before to provide my arrival time. After arrival there was NO Hot water to take a shower. Sent a text message and she said she would get a technician to fix it. After dinner that night there was hot water, but I just went to bed. The next morning…ready for a warm shower…NO Hot water again! Sent text…late that afternoon she sent a text back that unfortunately I couldn’t be fixed until the next day at 11am. The next day at 12n she sent a text back that the hot water issue was fixed and that “…there really was a serious breakdown…” And there was a hot water problem in the entire building. She left a gift in the apartment (wine & fruit). And offered us a 198.euro refund (about 30% of our 3-night stay). We were out on a day trip. At 8:00pm that night when we got back…there was NO Hot water! I was kind in the text explaining that I own Vacation Rental in Mexico. She asked for my payment details for the refund.The next day (day after checking out) she sent a text message offering a “Symbolic 100. Euro refund and said I broke the desk chair that had sentimental value to her husband. The 1st time I sat on the wood desk chair it pinched my legs, so I took a closer look and found that the thin plywood bottom was old and delaminated.After MANY text messages and providing my payment details 2 times I never got a refund and no resolution of the issue. Disappointed more by the owners.

So much more than we expected!

Bari has a lot to offer tourists. The location of our stay was a short walk to old town, which is a must in the evening. Also close to the train that connects to Monopoli and polignamo. Both towns were beautiful for a day visit. An even shorter walk took us to the train back to the Airport. Highly recommend this apartment and Bari for authentic Italian. Great, attentive hosts!!

Authentic Classic in Bari

We stayed for three nights at this charming VRBO. It was plenty roomy enough for our family of four adults - two upstairs and two down, each floor with its own roomy bathroom. The kitchen is tiny but has all that you’ll need for prepping a small meal or making your morning coffee. We had our coffee outside on the private patio each morning. The building itself is undoubtedly on some historic registry - the gorgeous foyer all wrapped in cool stone rises all the way to the top of the third floor. Ornate arches line the perimeter and give it the feel of being in the courtyard of a castle as you approach your suite’s front door. It is handy to markets, salumeries, a gym, and several restaurants. And street parking in front of the building was a breeze. Our host, Elio, was very responsive to every communication. “WhatsApp” seems to be the go to method in all the towns we’ve visited in Italy. We had one small issue come up with the freezer and Elio was quick to organize a repair crew - as soon as it was available. I would highly recommend this VRBO to anyone considering a visit to Bari.

Elegant og Old fahion sted, i en smuk gammeldags bygning.

Lejlighed ligger forholdsvis langt fra “old town” men der findes en masse små Italienske mad forretninger med store udvalg, udover gode restauranter og pizzeriaer. Der er også nogle “etniske” forretninger som var de eneste åben en søndag eftermiddag, ikke at anbefale . De anbefalede spise steder var ikke lige om hjornet, men vi fandt nogle andre. Lejlighed var som forventet, vi fandt det lidt mørk, men der var en god privat gård. Køleskabet var helt tømt, derfor gik vi ud og prøvede at finde noget at spise, uden held på det tidspunkt en søndag. De skulle har tænkt på det, det eneste jeg kunne købe vat en øl.

Lovely Apartment, but.........

This was a lovely apartment in Bari. It was spacious with two bathrooms, a lovely living room, kitchen area with a large table and tv area, and a really pretty bedroom. You really got the feel of the area. The shower downstairs was small but worked very well. We did not use the upstairs jetted tub. The tv worked well. The outside court yard was lovely and we sat outside with wine a few nights and really enjoyed the outside. The bedroom is upstairs, which is a circular staircase, if you have trouble with the stairs I wouldn't recommend you use the upstairs bedroom. There is a pullout couch on the first level. We did not use it, but it was available. Our problems, which were not really horrible, but reviewing I feel I must mention. We did have some trouble with check in. The owner was away and left another in charge and we had difficulty reaching him the two times we tried. There was only 2 large towels and 2 small towels provided for the two of us for 8 days, only 1 set of sheets. I feel an extra set of towels and sheets should have been provided. (owner away...??) Also, 3 nights it was hot sleeping upstairs. We would have loved to have a fan. The screens are very old, as is the apartment, and screens were down on some of the windows. We couldn't open some of the windows. I would recommend the owner fix the screens. If the owner were available maybe these things would have been fixed immediately, not sure. I wouldn't walk in this area at night alone, but as a couple we were OK. We were told by many shop keepers to watch our belonging as we walk throughout the town. This is anywhere, but we were warned many times in this area. There are many, many shops in the area and you can buy anything you would like. We purchased food items down the corner and lots of delicious fresh fruit. There were so many restaurants to choose from. Go to the tourist center in Old Town first thing. You can get a map and any information you would like they were extremely helpful. The apartment was located a very short distance from the train station, which made it very convenient. We took the train to several locations in italy. We also took the bus to the large shopping center. Taxi is easy to find at the train station. All in all I feel we had a really good stay at this apartment in Bari. Elio I left you a present in the dish cabinet. We are sorry to not have met you. Maybe another time.

Schönes Apartment in Bari

Sehr schönes Apartment, sehr zentral gelegen in Bari. Man läuft zu Fuß 10-20 min überallhin. Elio ist sehr nett und hat uns ein paar gute Tipps gegeben. Wenn man der Straße in Fahrtrichtung folgt findet man rechts hinter dem großen Marktgebäude auch kostenfreie Parkplätze. Wenn man draußen zu Abend ist sollte man unbedingt Antimückenmittel benutzen, wir wurden sehr zerstochen. Es kann auch mal im Haus gegenüber die Alarmanlage losgehen, was sehr laut ist. Anstonsten gibt es nichts zu beanstanden, außer den Fliegengittern, die müssten mal erneuert werden.

Incroyable logement

Agréable appartement dans un bâtiment de toute beauté. Nous avons été particulièrement impressionné par la cour intérieure qui nous a transporté dans un autre temps. Logement bien situé, proche de la gare, bel accueil et nous ne pouvons que le recommander. Un grand merci au propriétaire de le mettre en location.

Perfekt

Rundum perfekter Aufenthalt. Ausgesprochen netter Empfang in fließendem Englisch oder Italienisch je nach Belieben. Die Wohnung ist perfekt gelegen, in der Nähe ist alles zu finden, sei es zum Einkaufen (von frischem Fisch bis zum Gemüsehändler alles in der Nähe) oder Verkehrsanbindung oder zu einem Bummel in die Altstadt. Während in den Strassen die Hitze der Stadt brütet, findet man sich in der Wohnung in einer kühlen und ruhigen Oase. Durch die Innenhoflage sehr ruhig, die Möglichkeit sich draußen auf die Terrasse zu setzen ein plus. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Absolut zu empfehlen, toller Urlaub!

Die Wohnung ist problemlos zu erreichen: am Flughafen in den Zug und vom Bahnhof aus ist die Wohnung nur 60m entfernt. Elio, der Vermieter, kümmert sich super. Alles war bestens organisiert und wir kamen uns nie allein gelassen vor. Die Wohnung liegt in der Altstadt und alles ist gut fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, verfügt über eine Terasse und das Haus.... tolle Architektur, top gepflegt.... zu 100% weiter zu empfehlen! Bari ist keine Touristenhochburg. Hier ist es ursprünglich und auch wenn es sprachlich nicht immer rund läuft, der Italiener ist herzlich und mir Händen und Füßen klappt es super;-) Wir haben hier eine wunderschöne Woche Urlaub verbracht mit tollem Essen, liebeswürdigen und gastfreundlichen Italienern. In Bari lässt es sich sehr gut shoppen. Der Strand ist einen kleinen Fußmarsch entfernt und wirklich schön. Sollte man unbedingt besuchen. Gerade weil hier in Bari keine Touristenhochburg ist, kann man die italienische Entschleunigung genießen. Wir haben hier tolle Menschen, kulinarische Genüsse und die italienische Lebensart kennen gelernt.....wunderbar! WIR KOMNEN WIEDER - ABSSOLUT ZU EMPFEHLEN! Danke, 5 Sterne Plus! Ausflugstip: Das Trullidorf in Alberobello, problemlos von Bahnhof in Bari mit dem Zug zu erreichen. Absolut einmalig und sehenswert!

Our stay was perfect! Location is good, our host is very helpful!

We spent 3 nights at the apartment! We arrived there and our host came within 5 minutes. He was very helpful and kind. We got all the information we needed to discover Bari, to have dinner and to do our shopping. The apartment was super for 5, there is a little inner garden when we could smoke! As the weather was cold we put on the heating so there was no problem. We had breakfast at the apartment (prepared on our own) and we got everything (fresh bread, bacon, cheese, tea, coffee, juice, vegetable etc.) we needed at the shops around the corner. It took only 10 minutes to get the "centro historico) and 15 minutes to the seaside. All we can say: Elio, thank you for the apartment, we enjoyed ourselves very well! Judit
