This cabin was perfect for our Acadia trip! There were 3 of us: Myself, my husband, and our 5yo son. There was a big bedroom with a queen bed perfect for us and a second room that was very kid friendly and fun for our son with 2 beds that could sleep 3 if needed. The cabin is on a very quiet back road in the woods on the owner's property, but far enough away from their house that it's still very private. The owners were very nice with any interaction we had with them. Only ~12-15 minute scenic drive to most places in Acadia National Park, including Bar Harbor. There is a gas station with food right down the road if needed. I am so glad we decided to stay here vs in the city because of the privacy and much more value for the money. The hosts were always responsive to my questions from the start. Their cabin has a lot of little touches that you don't have with every rental that made a huge difference such as plenty of warm blankets (we stayed in the winter), many pillows, ample towels, a space heater in the kids room, paper towels and toilet paper, some toiletries, and plenty of cookware and dishes. There were also many good books available. Good shades in bedrooms so you could actually sleep. Also a huge bonus was the fenced in playground for the kiddo with lots of unique obstacles where our son would go out and play while we relaxed at the little dinner table. After a long day outside in Acadia in the winter weather it was nice to come back and have TV available (we used Netflix). They also had fast internet and good phone service.
All around, highly recommend!! No need to stay in Bar Harbor with this as an option! Thank you so much to the owners!
