Tucked into the jungle in a lush, private setting, yet only minutes from the shore, shops, and restaurants, Casa Ballena Pearl offers the best of both worlds. Hike or mountain bike right from your front door and explore the nearby rainforest jeep trails. Enjoy morning coffee on the private deck while toucans sing, and be sure to watch for monkeys and iguanas above your private stream.

Start the day with a swim in your private pool or take a short drive to visit the magnificent waterfalls and clear cool freshwater swimming holes surrounded by tropical trees. The entire pool-facing wall opens up onto the pool deck, creating a true indoor/outdoor feeling. The bright, brand-new interior features high ceilings, tons of natural light, and a spacious common area, perfect for gathering with friends and family. The chef will love the sleek, modern kitchen, with stainless steel appliances and plenty of counter space, and there’s room for everyone at mealtime between the kitchen island barstools and deck-front dining table.

When it’s time to explore, you’ll only be a half mile from Playa Hermosa, where free shaded parking and beginner surf lessons can be found. From there, it's a short hike or drive to the world-famous Whales Tale beach of Uvita. Other beaches include Playa Arco, Pinuela, Playa Ventana, Dominicalito, Dominical, Coconut groove, Matapalo, and Chaman. Most of the beaches offer year-round surfing and relaxation beaches, with very few visitors. Playa Dominical is world-class surfing and has regular surf competitions, and many beaches are safe for swimming and even have lifeguards. Wildlife is abundant in this quiet valley. And from any of the quiet beaches, you can see two types of whales for much of the year. Take advantage of the elegant outdoor shower to rinse off the sand before stepping inside. In the evening, relax with a little TV on the couch, and fire up the gas grill for an easy family cookout. Rest easy in any of the three bedrooms, with two featuring direct pool access. With a stay so luxurious and a location so tranquil, the only question left is how many extra days to book.
