"The management of this hotel seem to be under the impression that adding "boutique" to the name is sufficient to give it a veneer of quality. Unfortunately the name is where that veneer abruptly & catastrophically ends. I’ll start with the 1 positive - the staff were all fine – no issues there. "Great location, close to the beach and not far from fantastic public transport connections (bus, tram (horse drawn and electric) and a steam train. Complementary breakfast was a nice addition. Only issue was the exposure to passive smoking. This took place on the porch through the day and evening."
