Hotelnya lumayan bagus tapi fasilitas kamar sangat minim dengan harga setara dengan hotel lainnya. Tooth brush cuma satu, tidak ada sendok untuk buat teh/kopi. Tidak ada shampo, cotton bud, sisir. Gelas utk berkumur cuma satu. Kamar mandi kecil. Not recomended lah untuk fasilitas kamarnya...

Short stay , they only allow they customer to check in exactly at 2:00 pm. Dont try to come earliest then that, they dont give u key room before that time. I was wait in the lobby for 2 hours since i got there by 12 noon

Convenient in the vicinity
I have stay many times in IBIS hotel through out the world and I find it fascinating that the condition is quite similar. It make me feel very homely and comfortable. I hat a good rest everyday. the breakfast condition is also a fusions of local and international requirement.
Moving around within the city and back to hotel is quite easy. Walk is the best policy as the street is clean and people are very warm. Nice place to visit.
Only thing that we miss is the cultural centre which we did not manage to visit.

Kami reservasi 6 kamar pada akhir minggu. Pelayanannya sangat lambat hingga kami harus menunggu untuk mendapatkan kamar hingga 2,5 jam dari jam seharusnya check-in (jam 14:00). Pihak hotel mengatakan banyak pengunjung yang belum check-out hingga mereka kesulitan mendapatkan kamar.
Setelah akhirnya mendapatkan 6 kamar yang kami pesan, satu diantara kamar tersebut masih dalam keadaan yang sangat berantakan. Belum dibersihkan. Butuh 30 menit dari pihak hotel untuk datang dan membersihkan kamar tersebut. Jauh dari kalimat promonya yang terkenal: "15 minutes guarantee"
Tapi overall penilaian kami untuk keadaan kamar cukup baik. lokasi cukup strategis dari pusat perbelanjaan. Koneksi internet yang disediakan juga cukup.

Super experience
Staff, especially in the dining room, are super helpful and friendly. Use of Novotel fitness facility was a real bonus. Room service was quick and efficient. I traveled in Borneo for 6 weeks, and this was, without exception, the best hotel - and it was NOT the most expensive. Location also very, very good. Wifi was available, and usage of the computers in the lobby was free. Yeah for Ibis!

Nice Hotel
I've been stayed several times in Ibis. The hotel overall is good. My suggestion is more food variations for breakfast.

Good value. Nice location.
Good value. Good location. Right next to Novotel. Better equipped than your usual budget hotels - with TV, free coffee making and in-room safe, and it is fairly roomy. Only thing i don't like is the toilet in the pre-made toilet cubicle is set rather high, so it'll be a hanging-toilet experience for most Asians.

The best IBIS for the money.
The staff, the food, the room, the general atmosphere, the location, and the room prices makes this Ibis hotel a must see when in Balikpapan.

Ibis Hotel Balikpapan
I was trying to book the (another hotel), which is pictured in the (internet travel company) add. (Internet travel company) has all the pictures wrong. The Ibis is behind the other hotel, but is connected in some ways. The price was good, and we could use the (other hotel) pool and gym. It's not far to walk around the building. The staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was very good. The few things we needed changed were taken care of very promptly, i.e. the last guest had locked the safe. The "modular" bathroom is a bit different, but all workable.

business trip
Since I book my room from internet using my credit card, I was charge from it. However, the front desk staff ask for my credit card before I check out and charge me again.. Telling me that I have to pay the room direct to the hotel.
