Sleeping up to 8 guests, this secluded pet-friendly retreat provides ever-changing 360° views of the Hinterland, Sunshine Coast, and Glasshouse Mountains. Relax in the heated pool or spa, whilst enjoying mesmerising views, sunrises and sunsets, and unwind in nature's embrace as you watch birds soar, cattle roam, and feel the peaceful mountain breeze.

The Space:
Welcome to Petrichor Estate, a luxurious retreat nestled in the breathtaking Sunshine Coast hinterlands, set on 55 acres of pristine landscape. The estate offers panoramic views of the ocean, lake, Glass House Mountains, and lush rainforest. From the moment you arrive, you'll be captivated by the beauty and tranquillity, with every sunrise and sunset offering a spectacular show of natural beauty.

As night falls, Petrichor Estate transforms, with a sky full of stars and galaxies providing an unforgettable experience. Whether you’re seeking a romantic getaway or a family adventure.

Relax in the outdoor lounge areas, furnished for comfort and ideal for taking in the views or enjoying a good book. The heated lap pool and spa, overlooking the coastline, feature three luxurious sun loungers for ultimate relaxation.
Enjoy the expansive lawn area perfect for lawn games with family and friends, plus the BBQ area provides a laid-back setting for outdoor meals. Inside, the fully equipped kitchen allows for gourmet meal preparation, which can be enjoyed in the elegant dining room or alfresco on the patio, surrounded by stunning views.


Master Bedroom:
The spacious master suite features a king bed, ceiling fan, and walk-in wardrobe with a toddler bed. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Glass House Mountains to the south and the pool overlooking the coastline and Ewen Maddock Dam. The room boasts high ceilings, a cosy fireplace, sofa, and occasional chair.

Master Ensuite:
The modern ensuite includes a toilet, large shower, and double vanity.

Bedroom 2:
Charming front-facing bedroom with a comfortable queen bed, ceiling fan, and wardrobe.

Bedroom 3:
This lovely bedroom is also located at the front of the home with a queen bed, ceiling fan, and wardrobe.

Living Room 1 (open plan, connected to kitchen):
Features a large smart TV, fireplace, ceiling fan, AC unit, and a large chaise sofa with an incredible outlook.

Kitchen:
Open-plan kitchen situated between the dining area and Living Room 1, equipped with an induction stovetop, oven, dishwasher, large walk-in pantry, nespresso coffee machine and an adjacent dining table that seats 8.

Living Room 2:
Accessible via stairs from the dining area, this second living room includes a smart TV, Apple TV, two sofas one of which is a sofa bed, ceiling fan, and a workspace with two monitors, a desk, and an office chair.

Bathroom 2:
Includes a double vanity, shower, bath, and a separate powder room with a toilet and an additional vanity. Outdoor washing line is connected to the shed.

Laundry:
Located next to bathroom 2, the laundry is equipped with a front-loading washing machine, dryer, and vacuum. Plus an outdoor washing line connected to the adjacent shed.

Guest Access:
You will have access to the entire home and a double carport, with space on the driveway for an additional 2 vehicles. Situated at the top of a mountain, the property is only accessible with a 4WD due to the steep 30% gradient up the driveway. Please note that there is a separate geodesic dome structure on the southwestern side of the property, which is also available for holiday rentals.

The Neighborhood:
Perched atop a mountain in Bald Knob, Petrichor Estate offers breathtaking 360-degree views of the stunning coastline and hinterland of the Sunshine Coast, making you feel like you're on top of the world. There is so much to see and do in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, you can explore charming art galleries, wineries, boutique shops, and cosy cafes. Take a trip to Flame Hill Vineyard (20-minute drive away), or stroll along the main street of Montville. This area is known for its scenic drives, hikes, stunning lookouts, waterfalls and delicious local produce. The home is a 20-minute drive to the Kondalilla National Park where you will find picturesque hiking trails, lush rainforests and a swimming hole with a waterfall to cool off in the warmer months.

Getting Around:
Nestled in the rural town of Bald Knob, this home offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Having a car at your disposal is highly recommended, as there is no close by public transport, this will allow you the freedom to explore the picturesque Sunshine Coast Hinterland and beyond at your own pace.

Other Things to Note:
* Please note that there is a separate dome structure on the southwestern side of the property, which is also available for holiday rentals.

* PLEASE NOTE - Guests MUST HAVE a 4WD vehicle to access this property. No 2WD cars are accepted.

* This property is not kid-friendly, it is best suited for adults. It is not recommended for young children or toddlers

*This home is in a rural area - noise, odour, dust and spray drift from adjoining agricultural uses can occur occasionally. We have quiet hours on the Sunshine Coast after 9pm. We ask that you also respect our neighbours and keep noise to a minimum generally. No events are permitted at any time.

*Please note - the property itself (farm) is open to photographers via bookings - during your stay, you may see wedding parties around the property for this purpose - they have been advised to not enter the house yard or near the dome if we have guests.

* Security cameras: there are two actively recording surveillance cameras (top right & left corners of the garage) pointing towards the gate in fenced area that records voice/videos. 7Networks also has a camera around the tower area too.

*We DO NOT take schoolies bookings*

*No guests under the age of 20 travelling independently, fine if accompanied by family (ie. young adults apart from a family booking is ok.)

*Please note to stay with us you will be required to fill out a check-in form for your stay. This is a requirement of all our guests that stay with us, access to our home will only be provided after the completion of our form.

*Please reach out to us prior to your stay if you would like to utilise the sofa bed.
